Wednesday, March 1, 1989

Got up.  Darrin got me late.  Dad took Jill to school.  Darrin, Tracy planned to go jogging (didn’t).  Notes in Government.  Watched filmstrip.  Darrin and I talked with Nissa in Lit.  Talked in Spanish.  Lab in chemistry room in Physics.  Aaron, Jeremy and I mainly worked together.  Fun.  Ate chili for lunch.  Juniors tested during hours 1-3.  Problems, review in Prob & Stats.  Played prison-ball in PE.  Gang split.  Sweated.  Got sore.  Showered (soap on walls).  Jeremy stepped on glass in shower room and yelled curses.  Rode home with Darrin (dropped Dustin off).  Taped both REM tapes. Watched “Gumby” and “Bugs Bunny.”  He brought me home around 3:30pm.  He was a little late for work.  Straightened room.  Studied some Prob & stats.  Ate bologna, took chips and Pepsi when Harry got me around 5pm.  Mom shopped.  To Jeremy’s. Not there.  To Nissa’s.  Played with Tiffany until 6:30pm.  Harry was Amos, I was Jim.  To Jeremy’s.  His parents in Alton.  Called Tim.  He came over.  We goofed around, talked, etc.  Tim ran to Handee Mart.  Got me sunshine Sprees; Nissa soda, Doritos; Jeremy Icee, snack cakes; Harry Doritos, Icee; himself lots o’ stuff.  He’s talking about ITT mucho.  Studied around 8pm on.  Tim and I went through every problem on worksheets 5-12.  Nis supposed to be done around 9pm, but Jeremy took her home around 10pm. Harry on phone with DeAnn from 9-9:30pm.  Called Mom.  Really studied then.  Jeremy’s parents came home.  Harry left around 10:45pm.  Tim took me home around 10:50pm.  Got home.  Studied a little more.  Got ready for bed.  Was around 11:45pm when I settled in bed.  Slept to “Document.”  REM again.  Last page.  Can’t believe a year’s gone by.  Well, look for Volume II, the green notebook.  Farewell and bye.

February went by FAST!  Tired again.  Mo to work early.  Darrin got me late.  To school.  Bell rang as we got there.  To home room.  Took "Spinoff '86" back to Fred.  Mike gone.  Did stuff in home room.  Turned in Government.  Took notes.  Drew.  Nissa satin front of me in English.  We talked a lot (with Darrin in front of her).  Jeremy worked.  Fun Spanish.  Did work.  Lots of talking.  Physics test.  When bell rang to leave, Jeanette and Aaron left.  Then Matt, me.  LONG rough test.  Jeremy and I to lockers.  To lunch table (screwed up).  No seniors around.  Joe asked "Senior class meeting over?"  Ran to Trent's old area.  Had Mr Z meeting.  Ate samples.  To lunch.  Ate pizza fast with Jeremy, Nissa.  To Prob & Stats.  Did problems all hour.  Barb's birthday.  She sat behind Jeanette.  I scooted up behind Nissa, talked to her.  Study hall, we sat at new table.  Barb did homework (moved to regular table).  Darrin talked to Dia.  Michelle G with Barb.  Harry, Joe got in a fight.  Harry went to Barb, threw chair, etc.  Joe, Nissa and I talked most of the hour, Jeremy went to talk to Harry.  Rode home with Jeremy.  To Darrin's.  Watched "Gumby."  Got Harry's music stuff and Mark's amp in Jeremy's truck.  To Jeremy's. Drank orange juice.  Nissa called.  Mad at Jeremy.  Talked about it.  To my house.  We got TMC, supposed to be Showtime.  No remote channels now.  Got Jim Edgar reply.  Got guitar, to Harry's.  Carried stuff to Harry's room.  Wrote "Art Thing" for 1.5 hours.  Nissa came over around 5:30pm.  Recorded.  Sad.  Nissa left around 6pm, she had to unexpectedly work.  Jeremy took me home.  Ate hamburger, fries, o-rings.  Cleaned some of room.  Jeremy got me around 6:50pm, supposed to be 6:30pm.  To Harry's.  Tim there.  Harry with DeAnn.  Came home.  To Harry's room to do Prob & Stats.  Talked, etc.  Did a little Prob & Stats.  Borrowed Jeremy's work.  Harry had to go to Sparta around 7:30pm.  Tim left.  Jeremy brought me home.  Mom, Dad got pie.  Did Prob & Stats.  Pretty much got room straight now.  I have to get used to it.  Mom, Dad home.  Showed Mom my room.  Doing this.  Gonna hear radio to go to sleep.  Last page of this journal!  Oh, wisdom tooth (upper left) startin' to make itself known.

Monday, February 27, 1989

Woke up wheezing.  Took cough medicine.  Laid on couch.  Cold.  Up around 1.5 hours.  Super-tired this morning.  Mo to work early.  Dad up.  Darrin got me early.  To Handee Mart.  He's going out with Jodi T Saturday.  I was dead tired until 2nd hour.  Got to school.  Took books to home room.  Went back to lockers.  Mike came up.  To home room.  Bad mood, good by 3rd hour.  Notes about voting in Government.  Saw filmstrip in Lit. Copied Jeremy's Prob & Stats.  Talked with Harry.  Aaron showed up in 3rd hour.  Learned clothes in Spanish.  Did worksheet, book work.  Did problems in Physics.  Hamburger, fries for lunch.  Did Prob & Stat stuff.  Talked with Nissa.  Turned in worksheet in Prob & Stats (not extra credit).  Got worksheet #11.  Did problems.  Played kickball.  Threw at Shawn H and hit him from across the gym.  Got good hits and plays.  Gonna play prison ball Wednesday.  Darrin took Joe, me home.  Got guitar, amp, homework, coat, financial file.  Dad drove Mom and me to ITT.  Did home work on the way.  Waited for Mel.  Went to office.  I have borrowed $2625.  Gosh!  Met job-help lady.  Said I might work at Swank (?).  Left.  Dad in good mood.  Went home.  Mom got check, cashed at bank, got gas at Gas-n-Grab, to Darrin's.  Everyone there already (around 6pm).  Sat up through small amp.  No sound second half.  Sounds good.  Everyone left around 7:30pm.  Darrin and I to Sparta.  To WHCO.  Did interview.  Had tour.  He saw my toy gun.  To Amoco.  While Darrin got gas, we talked about taking WHCO over.  Lady heard us inside and told Darrin "Don't take over any buidings" (jokingly).  Through McDonald's drive-thru.  Ate supper.  To my house.  Black dog here, then left.  We prepared Government report.  Darrin left.  Got ready for tomorrow.  Gonna call Tim, study Physics.  My room is a mess.  FS-2000 falling apart.  Intercom fell out today.

Woke up around 9:30am.  Jeremy left for church.  So did Matt, Mike L.  Joe, I watched TV.  Then Gallagher.  Left around noon.  Fred and family saw me greasy.  Came home.  Showered.  Dennis and Brenda here.  Mon, Dad (in our car), Dennis and Brenda to St Louis flea market.  Pot roast (I ate chicken, fries).  Mom, Dad got home.  Drove Jill to take "Christine" back.  Dennis and Brenda left.  Watched "Oh God."  Jeremy called.  Took Jill to New Athens for tacos.  Got back.  Called Jeremy.  Said Nissa mad at him.  She got hair done.  He, Harry and Nissa did Prob & Stats.  Darrin went to Jeremy's.  Talked about first Guard weekend.  He liked it.  Grandma and Grandpa down.  Hamburger, fries for supper.  Bored on phone, so started rearranging room.  After on phone around 1.5-2 hours, really changed my room.  Everyone in here cleaning and moving.  Stopped around 9:10pm.  Grandma and Grandpa left.  Room a lot bigger.  Think I'll like it.  Guess that's today.

Up around 10:30am.  Called Harry.  Showered.  Harry came by.  DeAnn got hair done.  Gave Harry remote control for TV to get fixed (he to Belleville).  Ate pizza.  To Joe's.  He rearranged/cleaned room, swept carport, washed truck.  Parents got back.  Saw "UFO."  Mr A talked to us.  Cold out.  Thought about life.  Watched "Empire Strikes Back."  Slept for an hour.  Parents to movies.  Joe, I alone.  Shot each other with guns.  Jeremy took Nissa to work and came by.  Harry to basketball game.  Drove Joe and Jeremy to Harry's.  Got VCR tapes to watch.  Watched "American Werewolf in London."  Ate pizza (mini cheese, oregano, pepper, hotdog, BBQ, bacon, cheddar).  Watched Gallagher "Overboard."  Nissa came by.  She stayed and we watched "Super Fuzz."  Parents, Mike L, Matt came home.  Got beds ready.  Harry stopped by.  Nissa left.  Settled in.  Watched "Rambo 3."  Fell asleep around 12:30am.  Joe too.  Jeremy watched "Star Trek 4", "Tour of Duty", and something else.  He finally to sleep around 5:15am.  I talked in my sleep.  That was it.

Mom took off.  They left around 5:30am to Dad's graduation of Amtec.  I'm happy.  He starts next Sunday.  Darrin took Jill and me to school.  To computer room to "study."  Didn't.  All doors locked.  Got in home room.  Goofed.  Talked to Fred.  Got NASA books back.  To Government.  Took ch 5 test.  Did word seek.  Jeremy, Nissa and Becky B wrote essays until lunch.  Did "Arthur" in Lit.  Jeremy had my Lit book.  Did word seek.  Talked with Aaron.  Took test in Spanish, read "Spinoff '88".  To chemistry room.  Aaron, Harry and I talked.  Did hand in hot/cold/medium pan experiment.  Pizza came.  Had 2 pieces of Italian sausage, pretzels, 2 brownies, moose-cup Coke.  I was full.  Unbuttoned pants, Aaron too.  To lockers.  Got Prob & Stats.  Did worksheet.  Jeremy came in late.  Ate.  To Prob & Stats.  Turned in worksheet.  Worked all hour.  Harry, Aaron and I did Tone Loc's "Wild Thing."  To study hall.  Jeremy and Nissa writing in library.  Harry, Darrin and I did Lit with Michelle G.  Joe, I to chemistry room.  Got "Spinoff '86."  Joe got bomb chemicals.  Got back.  Took Joe home (Darrin did), then me.  Played guitar.  Walked to Harry's around 4pm.  Jeremy came over.  We watched "Die Hard."  I loved it.  Tim came in.  Then Darrin.  Then "Scattered."  Darrin and I to Darrin's ("I to Sparta", "Darrin to Belleville").  Harry to DeAnn's.  Jeremy home.  Darrin called Nicole. Played with guns, briefcase.  Joe with Shea all night.  Supposed to be the "boys' night out" haha.  Harry, Jeremy got bomb, came to Darrin's.  We all left in Harry's car.  Ammonia drove us crazy.  To my house.  Got gun.  Carry it everywhere now.  Out to launch site RP01.  Sat chemicals down.  Darrin got sulfuric acid burns.  COLD out.  Finally blew it, sad.  Raced to Harry's.  Got Darrin's hand fixed.  Took Darrin home (he had to leave around 4:30pm Saturday morning to Springfield for Guard).  To my house.  Got crackers.  To Jeremy's.  Made root beer bottle gas bomb.  To Joe, Jeremy, my place by coal belt (by Suzanne C's).  Threw bomb.  Sad, lit down a road.  Left.  Shot bottle rockets out the car.  Bored to death!  To Jeremy's.  Carried in groceries. Ate Tombstone pizza.  Nissa came by.  She was tired, sick.  Got mad at Jeremy.  He took her home around midnight.  We laughed too much.  Harry, I played pool.  Finally, Harry took me home.

Better from cold.  Just a little tired.  Darrin got me.  I wore no coat.  Everyone in good mood.  To home room early.  Took Fred’s jars back.  Free day (study) in Government.  Heard Menard talk on radio.  Did Seek-n-Find in “Games.”  Turned in letter.  Brad looked at Nissa’s “17” in Lit.  Did worksheet.  Started “King Arthur.”  Talked with Nissa.  Did worksheet in Spanish, etc.  Problems in Physics.  Fish for lunch.  Tables together.  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Got worksheet #10.  Polish kickball.  I caught 3, threw one out, missed 1^st bat, got grand slam at 2^nd bat.  Dressed.  Got out of room early.  Darrin dropped me off, then Shelly M and Angie McC.  Got tape stuck in VCR, got it out.  Joe came over.  Worked with bomb.  Looked at photos.  Talked.  He left around 4:30pm.  Watched TV.  Slept.  Mom got home.  Ate chicken sandwiches, mac & cheese.  Jimmy came over.  Darrin came over around 7pm.  Tim around 7:10pm.  Got REM tapes ready.  Studied Government (ch 5).  Juanita, Jimmy, Grandma and Grandpa down.  Lots o’ fono calls.  No one knew where Jeremy was (with Nissa probably).  Talked about military 8:30-9pm.  Tim left.  Darrin left to go cruisin’ for an hour.  I think he’s up to something.  He got haircut.  He’s got a date with Nicole and Becky (?).  Guess that’s about all.  Gonna go Spanish worksheet now.

Feel better.  Throat a little sore.  Snowed a lot, stuck, but melted.  Drove Jill.  Heard “Worksong”.  Good song.  I have a bloody nose right now.  Darrin pretty bummed (about Lisa, being sick, and Guard this weekend).  Supposed to be COLD tomorrow.  Notes in Government.  Letters due.  No one turned one in.  Aaron, Brad, Harry and I looked at Nissa’s “Cosmo” in Lit.  Watched filmstrips.  Worksheets and adjectives in Spanish.  Worked all hour in Physics.  Caught up.  Arranged Friday’s party (pizza, etc).  Nissa got Jeremy’s pizza for him.  Ate pizza.  Apologized to Harry and DeAnn about yesterday.  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Darrin, Joe and I to chemistry room 6^th hour.  Jeremy, Nissa in scholarship fight.  Okay now.  Joe got chemicals for bomb.  Darrin, I got engine propellants.  Goofed around.  Gave NASA books to Fred.  Talked to Mr Kerkhover about letters.  Turning them in tomorrow.  Joe gave me bomb chemicals.  Have two of Fred’s jars.  Drove home.  Filled engine casing.  Ready to be primed.  Jill came home from Amy’s.  Watched TV.  Dad got Class M license today.  Happy.  Looked at my TV RC.  Mom got home.  Cooked pizzas.  Went shopping.  Ate.  Watched TV.  Juanita and Jimmy came down with cake.  Watched “American Werewolf in London.”  Jill came down.  Mom got home.  Harry got me around 8:30pm.  Took Prob & Stats, Physics to Jeremy’s.  Nissa there.  Tim came with a 6 pack of Coke.  Just talked about English (Hollander), etc.  Supposed to look at Nissa’s “17” for prom dresses for her.  Forgot.  We left around 9:50pm.  Harry dropped me off.  Gonna get medicine and stamp and sleep.

Bad night.  Slept and woke up, slept, woke, etc.  Sore this morning.  Snowed, melted.  Darrin took me to school.  To home room.  Talked.  Notes in Government.  Liz B there.  Filmstrips in English.  She gave us “Huck” postcards.  Darrin, I talked.  Fun in Spanish.  Learned adjectives, worksheet.  Problems in Physics.  Harry, DeAnn fought.  Waited for Jeremy after class.  Went to lunch.  Ate spaghetti.  Talked to Mr Lewis about rockets and NASA.  Gonna get me rocket propellant tomorrow.  To Prob & Stats.  Notes.  Oh, I threw salad over shoulder (and splashed milk on Harry, DeAnn (didn’t know I did it (I was in bad mood))).  Spatball in PE.  Killed Brown Kid.  Nissa watched us.  After school, Michelle G and Barb snickered at me when I talked with Nissa.  Barb supposed to get REM tickets in Belleville, didn’t go.  Darrin dropped Val M and me off.  Made engine casings (putty).  Heard “REM” tapes.  Ate pizza.  Slept.  Mom home.  Darrin by at 7pm.  Got Jeremy and Nissa, taped at haunted house.  To Jeremy’s.  Read comics, talked.  Got tape.  Listened to in den, heard voices.  Jeremy scared.  His mom came home from shopping.  She listened with us downstairs.  Found out it’s a bad tape (music on it).  Darrin brought me home around 9:20pm.  Brenda here.  Got stuff to do.  Only thing wrong now is I have a sore throat.  Harry, etc at basketball game.  Need mucho sleep.  Hope tomorrow’s better.

Man, oh man, I feel bad!  Really clogged and sinus aches (and body aches) all day.  On medicine.  Rained all day and now.  Drove Jill, heard “Dead Letter Office.” Bells.  Darrin there early.  To home room early con el.  He, Lisa broke up yesterday.  Jeremy to his great grandma’s funeral.  Had pledge, etc.  Notes in Government about religion, etc.  Hard to stay awake all day.   New Indian (or something) kid.  Watched term paper filmstrips in Lit.  Turned in “Huck.”  Mr Salanik’s forehead really broken out!  Did 2 worksheets, did adjectives.  Notes, problems in Physics.  Cheeseburger for lunch.  Gave Brad some fries.  Not really hungry.  Walked, talked con Nissa.  She was lonely today.  Notes and worksheets in Prob & Stats.  Study hall 6^th hour. Talked about colleges, etc.  Drove Nissa home.  Came home. 101 degree temp.  Slept 3-4:30pm.  Watched “3-2-1 Contact” (hovercraft).  Felt better.  Mom got home.  Took video to Coleman’s.  Ate pancakes. Taped “One.”  Harry called.  He taped at haunted house.  Darrin called. Told him I couldn’t make 6-7:30pm practice.  Jeremy called.  Juanita and Jimmy over.  Jeremy got me.  To Pizza Hut for pizzas.  Met people.  Gave Jeremy homework.  Jeremy and Nissa got in an argument.  Came home around 7:30pm.  Really tired.  Watching “Children of the Corn.”  Gonna sleep.

Up around 11:30am.  Showered.  Darrin here.  Talked for a while.  Mom with Brenda.  Jill made cheeseburger Hamburger Helper.  I ran around house yelling “Yip” 4 times.  TAYE.  Watched videos.  To Jeremy’s.  Nissa there.  Nissa and Jeremy spiffy (church).  Parents gone.  Dad washed truck.  Watched “License to Drive.”  Darrin left (Nicole O called).  Joe came over.  Ate hamburgers.  Watched “High School USA.”  Nice day.  Joe left to eat.  Harry came by (from Fairview Heights).  Joe came back.  Got dressed.  Darrin came over.  Harry dropped Joe, Darrin and me here.  Grandma, Grandpa and Jimmy here.  Got 2 more McDonald’s records.  Got dressed.  Harry to DeAnn’s.  Got us.  To Jeremy’s.  Got Jeremy, Nissa.  Dropped Nissa off.  To Coalgate.  Harry and Darrin dropped Joe, Jeremy and mee off on Haulage Road around 7:30pm.  We crossed the hill.  Found trenches.  Across openness.  To water tank.  Walked around it.  Walked around lighted building.  To main tower.  Joe got a big wheel.  Got rocks.  Feet muddy!  Ran through the field then.  Around 7:50pm.  Flashed twice.  Ran more.  Finally saw their signal.  I went on ahead.  Got in Harry’s car by the main road.  Went to pick up Joe and Jeremy.  They were on switch-engine thing.  Got books, maps, keys, etc.  Drove off.  Went back and returned all but the keys.  I got a key, Darrin a key, Jeremy the key ring.  To switch-house.  Got cups, sugar cubes, paper.  To haunted house by Poochie’s.  Darrin and Harry saw something.  Harry heard it, too.  All in LTD.  To Jeremy’s.  Darrin left.  We 4 to garage, talking about ghosts.  Got engine tape, epoxy.  Came in, to Jeremy’s room.  He dressed funny.  Funny hair.  Joe left around 9pm.  Harry brought me home.  Hearing “Document” (REM).  About all for today.  Hope I dream scary tonight.

Up around 10am.  Mom to Granite.  I showered.  Dad shut water off (fixed leaking toilet).  Ate.  Read “Access Space”, built/launched Delphi.  Did TAYE.  Grandma and Grandpa down.  Played 2 McDonald’s records.  Got other records from Jill’s room.  Jeremy out with Nissa.  Harry in Belleville.  Watched TV.  Did Prob & Stats.  Played guitar.  Just goofed around.  Darrin got me around 7:30pm.  To Joe’s.  Sat in front room discussing Coalgate with Matt, hearing new REM tapes.  Joe gave me old Walkman. Moved to dining room.  Almost played Risk.  Decided to go to movies (“Bill & Ted”).  Came home.  Got money, tapes, etc.  To Joe’s.  To Darrin’s.  Got his stereo.  Heard “Green” on the way up there.  Got tickets for “Three Fugitives.”  Had an hour (till 11:30pm).  To Nicole’s.  In Indiana.  To Taco Bell.  Had $1.11 there.  Got free refills.  To Joe’s old house and his 6 best friends’ houses.  Back to show.  7 people in our movie (including us).  Fat lady told us to “Shut up!  Movie’s startin’!”   Made fun of her all night.  Good movie.  Ran to Darrin’s car.  We came on home.  Got home around 1:50am.  Told Mom, went to sleep.

Sunny day.  Jeremy took Joe, me, Nissa.  To school late.  Scholar Bowl practically over.  To home room.  Unexciting.  To Government.  Notes on ch 5.  Reading hour 2^nd.  Took “Games.”  Darrin, Harry, Aaron and I talked.  Elvis alive?  PA working again.  Now have bells!  Spanish conjugate verb test.  Darrin did poorly.  I got 99%.  Learned adejectives.  To Physics.  Notes, problems.  Harry and DeAnn got to do the two yarn hands-connected-thing.  Then to lunch.  Ate.  Fish, chips.  Cut with Harry, ate.  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Whiffle ball in PE.  Shannon got mad.  Everyone beat up on Jeff.  Almost cried.  Oh, played “circus trick” with Brenda at lunch.  Jeremy threw peas at her mouth.  Got 1.  Darrin, Lisa left.  Nissa and I talked on stage while Jeremy got assignments for Monday.  Had to help carry ladders to gym.  Joe broke his mom’s crock pot lid.  Finally, Jeremy took Joe, me and Nissa home.  Got State Scholar Award and NASA thing.  Loved it.  I flipped.  Called Darrin.  Jeremy dropped Joe off here.  He got Nissa.  Got Joe, me.  To Sparta.  Dropped Nissa off at Pizza Hut.  To Wal-Mart.  Looked for engine parts.  To HILS.  Got water putty.  To Kroger.  Jeremy to break room for his mom.  Joe, I starved.  Jeremy got money.  We all left.  Thru McDonald’s drive-thru for me.  To Joe’s.  To school.  Basketball bus gone for New Athens already.  Last game of year.  Dropped me off.  Ate food.  Darrin got me.  Took guitar to Darrin’s.  Mr Salanik and Brad there.  Mark came.  Then Jason.  Mike, Billy, Hannah and Darrin’s parents heard us and left.  We played:  Money, Sweet Little 16, Cryin’, Summertime Blues, Twist & Shout, Heartbreak Hotel, Bye Bye Love, Wipe Out, Wild Thing and maybe more, can’t remember.  Wade, Paul M came for Jason (Haulage Road party (free for band members)).  Mr Salanik left.  Then Mark.  Then Brad.  Watched TV.  Everyone came home.  We came to my house.  Looked over TAYE.  Launched Phobos (unsuccessful).  To Jeremy’s.  Joe there.  Jeremy and Joe played Risk.  Darrin took Joe home around 9:30pm and left.  I finished Joe’s game.  Jeremy and I talked till 11pm.  His parents went to a party.  Darrin came home.  Jeremy brought me home.  Talked in truck.  Aaron came by with Charity, Janet C and Melissa S in car.  Charity and Janet got in Glenn’s car.  Came in.  Gonna do TAYE and sleep.

Nice day.  Drove Jill.  Heard “Green.”  No Scholar Bowl.  To home room.  To 6^th hour study hall.  Talked with Nissa.  To Lit.  “Huck” test.  Got done early. Jeremy, Aaron, etc lasted into Spanish.  Reviewed verbs in Spanish.  Notes, problems in Physics.  Toasted ravioli for lunch.  Mike, DeAnn fought.  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Drove Joe, Jill here.  Dad home.  Joe went with Jeremy to their houses. Dad fixed VCR.  Joe, Jeremy came over.  Discussed Coalgate.  Goofed in my room till around 3:10pm.  To Jeremy’s.  Mr Slagley sick.  Nissa called.  Took Joe home.  Got Nissa.  To school.  Got on small bus.  Just Harry, DeAnn, Jeremy, Aaron, Barb, me, Nissa, Tasha, Mrs Asherman, Mrs Treifenbach and driver went.  To Freeburg.  Played Freeburg.  Won (I first half, Aaron 2^nd half).  To room vs Central.  Played 1^st half, Aaron 2^nd.  Wrote notes with DeAnn, Barb.  Lost 383-78 (or so).  To Dairy Queen in Freeburg.  Becky B working.  Ate in central plateau (cool).  Ate with Jeremy, Nissa.  Came here.  Warmed truck up.  Jeremy came out.  He brought me home.  Aaron might Coalgate.  Ate.  Jill, Lisa came in from selling chocolate.  Mom, Dad came home.  I studied Spanish.  Cheryl came over.  Left.  Nissa and Jeremy bicker a lot.  Oh, well.

Rained all day.  Jeremy took me, Nissa.  Late.  Home room meeting about senior frolics and selling stuff.  Discussed State of the Union in Government.  Reviewed in Lit.  Room back to how it was.  Drug bust.  In 2^nd hour till 11:25am.  Talked about this year’s Meramec Trip (east coast).  Looked at Nissa’s magazine.  To Physics.  Took test.  Read “Games” mag.  Hamburger for lunch.  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Whiffle ball in PE.  Bugged Jeff.  Darrin took me home.  Launched Mirage.  Did TAYE.  Jeremy, Nissa came over.  They left around 5:45pm.  Ate.  Called everyone. Mom went shopping.  Tim got me, to Jeremy’s.  Joe there (left around 9pm).  Laughed at 4-H color book.  Harry came over.  Joe left.  Jeremy got Nissa.  Studied “Huck Finn” till 10:30pm.  Got home.  To bed!

Valentines Day.  Got heart red hots & $10.  Happy!  Drove Jill.  Heard R.E.M.  Nice, cool day.  To Scholar Bowl.  1^st one there.  Jeremy, Nissa showed.  To home room.  Signed up for scholarship-thing.  Darrin back.  Tim dressed up.  Ralph Dunn talked in Government.  Rushing’s class came in.  Reviewed in Lit.  I drew.  To Spanish.  Oh, got his phone # and address in English.  Yeah!  Mrs Gegel sub for Salanik.  Did tons o’ book work.  Got done early.  Talked.  Did problems in Physics.  People with balloons and stuff (val-o-grams).  DeAnn had BIG heart balloon.  Footlong hotdog for lunch.  Sat at opposite end.  Did Prob & Stats.  Notes and problems in Prob & Stats.  Goofed with Brenda (at new table) in 6^th hour study hall.  Nissa had a rose and carnation.  She gave me the carnation.  Went to senior frolics/trip meeting (so did Harry and Jeremy, that’s all).  All set for Dairy Queen, etc.  Skiing and stuff on senior trip.  All right!  Nissa came back.  Left around 3:10pm.  Took Amy home.  Jeremy, Nissa to movies.  Finished all taxes.  Ready to mail.  Put carnation in blue-water vase.  Got engine plans.  Happy!  Read ‘em.  TAYE.  Mom home.  Ate pizza.  Mom, Jill to game (last home game (Senior Night)).  Watched TV.  Have Physics to study.  Darrin came by.

Rained last night and all day.  Jeremy took me and Nissa.  To Mrs Dodson’s area with Jeremy about senior frolics.  Mr Salanik lost the senior wills.  To home room.  Darrin still gone.  To Government.  Watched State of the Union.  Cool.  To Lit.  Read “Huck” aloud.  Talked with Harry, etc.  Did worksheet (Jeremy to library for 15 minutes) in Spanish.  More verbs.  Did book work.  Did problems in Physics (I drew).  Hamburger and fries for lunch.  Hair getting long again.  Questions and notes in Prob & Stats.  Harry over by Brad P.  Whiffle ball.  Jeff silly.  After school, Jeremy took Joe and Me (got tax folder and Coalgate at home) to Darrin’s.  Showed him Coalgate.  Jeremy took Nissa, Kent home.  Looked at photo albums.  Darrin better.  Hasn’t bathed since Thursday.  Has little beard.  Watched TV downstairs.  Joe, Jeremy on exercise bike.  Jeremy took us home around 6:30pm.  Ate Salisbury steak.  Dad on days now.  He’s home.

Up around 11:30am.  Nice day.  Did TAYE.  Ate steakburgers.  Dad took down garage train table.  Sad.  Joe, Harry to the Mall.  Harry got Joe Elliott haircut.  Joe called around 3:30pm.  Got him.  Discussed Coalgate.  Watched Deja-Video Sunday on MTV with Martha Quinn.  Ate lasagna.  Took him home.  Grandma, Grandpa came over.  Ate more.  Tired, headache.  Watched TV.  Jeremy read Huck.  Got Joe.  To Harry’s.  DeAnn there.  Drove through Harry’s lot (left tracks).  Got Joe’s binoculars.  Came home.  Out to the mine.  Drove through.  Dead.  Stopped.  Looked.  Drove back roads all over.  To Sparta twice, etc.  Nissa worked.  To Jeremy’s.  Showed maps.  Chased cat while blowing in eggs.  Took Joe home around 9:05pm.  Came home.  Rain/sleet/snow a little.  “Raiders of the Lost Ark” is on.  Hungry.

Up around 11am.  Mom, Jill to Granite.  Ate pizza.  Did TAYE.  Watched TV.  Heard “Green” a lot.  Harry took ACT.  Doolittles to Elvis again.  Called Joe.  He washed cars.  Jeremy too.  Jeremy got Joe in truck.  Got me.  To Harry’s.  Jeremy at Harry’s window.  Ate, played at Harry’s.  Harry to DeAnn’s, then Joe’s to basketball game in Steelville (fights(?)).  Jeremy, I to Jeremy’s.  Discussed Coalgate.  Nissa called.  Jeremy took me to the mine.  Looked through binoculars.  Came home.  Jeremy out with Nissa.  Mom, Jill home.  Dad took down train table.  Sanford-Brown lady called.  ITT starts June 26, not July 5.  Ate Zipp hamburger.  Watched TV.  Grandma, Grandpa down.  Juanita, Jimmy over.  Jimmy slept.  Drove out with telescope.  Made road map of mine 6.  Got home.  Mom, Dad gone.  Launched Phobos.  Did Coalgate.  Joe just called.  We won game.  See him tomorrow.

Mom left early.  Dad gone, too.  Jeremy took me, Nissa.  Got books.  To home room.  To Government.  Free reading.  Read “Demons & Daggers” story.  Michelle G brought in turtle cake.  Mr Slagley came in.  Not busted.  Darrin sick all day.  To Lit.  Mr Wilson sub for Mercer.  Did Huck composition.  Had to re-write mine.  Studied Spanish.  Took Spanish test.  Translated.  Did notes/problems in Physics.  Fish for lunch.  Tim bought Val-o-grams galore.  Harry, DeAnn beat on each other (true love!).  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Got homework.  Stacked chairs.  Jeremy, Nissa dropped Joe, me off at Joe’s.  We worked on Coalgate map.  To Jeremy’s.  Nissa there.  Nissa left.  We 3 to Nissa’s.  Got in Jeremy’s truck.  Finally, got to mine.  Jeremy dropped Joe, me off.  Jeremy back to town for gas, binoculars and Harry.  Joe, I snuck (in open fields, daylight, I didn’t feel safe) and drew map.  Cold.  Met with Jeremy and Harry.  Joe in back.  Went to coal piles.  Talked.  Drove around mine once more.  Took Joe to his grandma’s, Harry home, then me.  Mom, Jill in Fairview Heights.  Tape got caught in VCR (Grandma came over).  Got tape out.  VCR broken.  Called Jeremy.  We went to Pizza Hut.  Nissa waitress.  Happy to see us.  Basketball game tonight.  Supposed to do Coalgate, didn’t.  Did placemats.  Got 2L (Jeremy 3L) soda for price of 2 smalls, free breadsticks, 2 large (supposed to be medium) pizzas (Italian sausage/hamburger, cheese) (shrimp/Italian sausage, mushroom).  Full.  Got ‘em boxed.  Came to Jeremy’s.  Drew castle.  He typed.  Watched MTV.  Nissa came in.  Said girl liked me at Pizza Hut.  Jeremy fell asleep.  He took me home in van around 11pm.  Darrin to doctor (wax in ear).  Sore throat.  Mom, Jill in bed.  Supposed to practice at Darrin’s.  Didn’t.  Jeremy, I really sick after Pizza Hut.  Almost puked.  Talked about sick food.

Drove to Mark’s.  Gave him Jim Hendrix footswitch.  Came home.  To school.  Heard “Green.”  Cold out.  Joe gave me strings and picks.  Darrin sick.  Went to home room.  Talked.  To Government.  Got 104 on 82 pt test.  Had lawyer from MO speaker about death penalty, drunk driving, etc. To English.  Got tests back.  Everyone to library to “read” Huck.  Harry, Jeremy, Nissa, Brad, Tim, Barb, Michelle G and I stayed and watched “Rocket” video.  To library.  Looked at newspaper.  To Spanish.  Reviewed verbs, etc.  Mr Wilson sub for Danford.  Talked all hour.  Told stories (experiences) last ¼ hour.  Pizza for lunch.  Mike buggin’.  To Prob & Stats.  Brad, Mike took test.  We went over it.  Took notes.  To 6^th hour study hall.  Darrin showed.  Asked teachers about senior frolics beauty contest, got in trouble by Coleman.  Drove Jill home.  Brad P came by around 3:20pm.  Found Jeremy at Nissa’s.  To Jeremy’s, got him.  To Belleville (Tim supposed to go, didn’t).  Heard “Green.”  To Sam’s.  Wouldn’t let us in.  To Cine 10.  Got tickets for “I’m Gonna Git You, Sucka!”  Harry’s gonna be mad!  To Best Buy, Music Vision by Shoe Carnival.  On to show (started at 5:15pm (rush hour ($1.90))).  Got in.  There was a white family, white guy, and we 3, the rest black.  Funny movie.  To Rally’s.  Ate there in car.  To Wal-Mart by BAC.  Left.  Tried to find dumb station wagon.  It was gone.  To the Mall.  To Walden Books.  Brad lookin’ for Star Trek book.  He went to BDalton.  Jeremy and I looked at “models.”  Came on home.  Talked about Mexicans and world problems.  Brad dropped me off, then Jeremy around 9pm.  Ready for bed (oh, put car up).  I think open gym for hockey wallago.  Tim called (I’ll call him).  Guess it’s about all.

Cold is better.  Called around 6:30am, but had school.  Jeremy took me, Nissa.  Heard “Green”.  To school.  Talked to Tim, Nissa.  No Scholar Bowl.  Studied Government in home room.  To Government.  Took ch 3 test.  Easy.  To Lit. Finished “Huck” movie.  Talked some.  Mike not there.  To Spanish.  Did verbs.  Mrs Heyl sub for Danford.  Studied Prob & Stats.  Grilled cheese, chips, etc for lunch.  Talked about Coalgate.  Took Prob & Stats test (easy).  Talked to Harry.  Played hockey.  Our team vs them.  I got a goal.  5-2 we won.  Harry gave me VCR tape to tape “Rocket” tonight.  To Mr Kerk about Macke’s address.  Watchin’ Star Wars.  Took letter home.  Darrin dropped Scott, kid off.  Me home.  Dad left.  Called library.  Close at 3pm.  Joe called.  Joe, Jeremy came by around 3:40pm.  We went (in Jeremy’s truck) backroads around Mine 6.  Got an idea.  Went to Jeremy’s.  Drew basic map and made basic plans.  Jeremy took us home around 5:10pm.  Jill at Lisa’s.  Mom at Silver $1 and shopping.  Called Harry.  Got plans for tonight ready.  Ate.  Darrin called around 5:40pm.  Home sick from work.  Harry, Jeremy in Sparta.  Shed measuring and sketch-work cancelled for tonight.  Joe got haircut, couldn’t do anything anyway tonight.  Watched TV.  Did TAYE.  Heard “Green” a lot.  Oh, “Stand” in shower room.  Watched MTV for “Rocket”.  On at 9pm.  Watched “Poltergeist II”.  Mom home around 8:15pm.  Carried groceries in.  Ate fish from Hardees.  Got ready for bed.  Got Jill at Lisa’s at 8:50pm.  Taped “Rocket”.  Ready for bed.

Up around 10:30am.  Watched TV.  Dad, Jill to eat in Sparta.  They got back.  Dad rested.  Jill cleaned aquarium.  I launched Mirage.  Did TAYE.  Head “Green” a lot.  Tim called.  Went to his house till 3:45pm.  Did Prob & Stats and Government.  Dad to school.  Jimmy came over.  Spiked hair.  Ate Hamburger Helper, watched TV.  Mom home around 5:10pm.  Had taxes done.  Juanita came down.  I went to the Doolittles’.  Harry at basketball game.  Programmed VCR.  Doolittles to see Elvis guy at Fox.  Came home.  Watched TV.  Called Darrin.  Drove to library.  Renewed Mom’s book.  To Darrin’s.  George’s back is killing him.  We studied for Government test.  Left around 8:20pm.  Came home.  Wrote Government letter.  Gonna study Prob & Stats now.  Amost positive we’ll have school tomorrow.  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. My cold’s a lot better.  Nose is still a little sore/red.

Up, tired!  Runny/sore/red nose.  Head clogged.  Sickest this year.  Jeremy took me, Nissa.  Cold out.  Got to school at “bell.”  To home room.  50 degrees in home room.  Mucho people sick.  To Government.  Froze.  School’s heater-pipe broken.  Used tons o’ Kleenex.  Took notes/reviewed.  Lit, had a heater.  Everyone wearing coats, gloves, etc.  Watched “Huck”.  Talked.  Dan W came in, said we’d get out early and no school tomorrow.  After 2^nd hour, meeting in library.  Mr Slagley said we’d get out early, no school Tuesday, but probably Wednesday.  To Spanish.  Did worksheet.  Did verbs.  To Physics, did notes/problems.  APP for lunch.  Copied Prob & Stats.  To Prob & Stats.  Reviewed.  Stacked.  Home with Darrin, Lisa (grade school), Nissa and Kent (home).  Jeremy called.  Came by in van with Joe.  Got Nissa.  To Sparta.  To Kroger (returned movies and entered drawing).  To Pizza Hut for Nissa.  Heard “Green” a lot.  To Wal-Mart.  Almost got adaptor to tape (VCR) computer.  Nissa got picture, purse, stuff.  Jeremy got cakes, juicy drinks.  Sat in van and ate.  To carwash.  Jeremy washed van.  Came home.  Dropped Joe, me, Nissa at Nissa’s.  Jeremy went home to get truck.  Looked at Nissa’s Vogue.  Her house crowded.  Jeremy back, took Joe home.  Did federal taxes.  Jeremy and Nissa fought, made up.  Jeremy took me home.  We all ate.  Darrin got me and Joe to Jeremy’s.  Jeremy was doing state taxes.  Sat up model on pool table.  Decided to stake Mine 6 out.  Called Operation: Coalgate.  Rode with Darrin.  To Handee Mart, bank, to Nissa’s.  Joe and Jeremy in Jeremy’s truck.  Out to Mine 6.  Jeremy and Joe in truck down haulage road.  Darrin and I watched.  Big truck came.  We left.  They came.  Regrouped.  Back to town.  Darrin got gas at Gas-n-Grab.  Scott C, Jay S, little Geralds and Rachel C pulled up.  Rachel got in car with me. We went to Jeremy’s.  Got Joe and Jeremy.  To Harry’s.  Got Harry.  Out to the Mine.  Darrin dropped us 4 off on the other road.  Cold at first.  Got to hill.  Watched the Mine.  Several trucks went by.  Harry lost Jeremy’s light.  We found it.  Got back to Darrin a little late.  Came home.  To Harry’s.  To Joe’s. To Jeremy’s.  Darrin took me home.  Got permission to stay till 1am (11pm then).  To Jeremy’s.  Darrin left.  Got to Jeremy’s.  They had mine model up.  Then played pool.  Joe and Harry got mad because Harry wanted lights off, Joe didn’t.  Played Therapy.  Supposed to watch “Phantasm II”, didn’t.  Jeremy took Harry and me home around 1am in van.  Got in and slept because I was sick.

Up around 11am.  Mom, Brenda somewhere.  Really sick.  Nose ran all day.  Ate pizza.  Made door alarm/light system.  Beatles Weekend on KLOU.  Put window in FS-2000.  Cold out.  Did TAYE.  Darrin came over.  Talked TAYE.  To Sparta.  Darrin got fish tank stuff at Wal-Mart.  Got food at McDonald’s.  Got home.  Jill gave Darrin 5 fish and accessories.  Took to Darrin’s.  Gwen mad.  Set it up.  Got REM “Green” from Mark A.  To my house.  Grandma and Grandpa here.  Got tape, to Darrin’s.  Taped “Green”.  Heard it twice.  Drew big picture.  Got home around 9:20pm.  Called Tim. Talked to Jay S.  Ate pizza.  Gonna hear “Green” and blow nose!

Jeremy knocked on my window around 11pm.  Let him in.  He was stuck out by the Lab.  Mike took Nissa home.  Talked to Jeremy.  Mike got back.  Dad came down.  Dad pulled Jeremy’s truck out.  I ate.  Got to sleep around 12:30am.

Up around 11am.  Power went off 4:30-6:30am.  Mom and Dad to Sparta.  Ate.  Watched TV.  Launched Phobos.  Made Mirage.  Started TAYE again.  Darrin called.  He did something with Lisa.  Mom and Dad ate supper out.  I’m feelin’ sick.  Flurried all day.  About an inch of snow.  Took Jill to Lisa’s  High of 10 degrees.  Jeremy and I supposed to go to judo party, didn’t.  Jeremy, Joe and I watched “Presidio” and played pool (dooly-pie).  Talked about senior frolics.  Came home around midnight.  Sick.

Snow flurries, sleeted all day.  No real accumulation.  Cold.  Around 5 degrees now.  Up to 10 degrees tomorrow.  Watched “Stand” four times this morning.  Jeremy got me.  No Scholar Bowl.  To Dodson’s home room for meeting.  Copied Prob & Stats from Jeremy.  To Government.  Took notes.  Bird hit window.  Had “Huck” quiz.  Mike yelled at Mercer.  Watched movie.  Test in Spanish.  Did beisbol.  Mucho enfermo people!  Notes, problems in Physics.  Chicken and dumplins for lunch.  Notes in Prob & Stats.  Derwort in good mood.  Out at 1:28pm.  Darrin took Lisa home.  My by post office to get tax forms.  Got home.  Ate.  Watched TV.  Darrin got me around 3pm.  Practiced at Darrin’s.  Jay S and Harry not there.  Played “Summertime Blues”, “Cryin’”, “Sweet 16”, “Money”, “Twist and Shout” (I sang backup).  Good.  Darrin’s parents listened.  They left.  Game at Coulterville. Everyone went.  Darrin babysat for Hannah.  Mom, Brenda and Dad (truck’s too cold) to White Lantern.  I cleaned up room around 9:45pm and Barbie came by.  I was forced to go to Pizza Hut with Lori (bad driving) and Tasha.  Ate pizza.  Came home.  Saw people at Pizza Hut.  Danny D.  Talked to Jody C, Glenn M, Shelly M in cars.  Fun.

Cooler out.  Drove Jill.  Heard “DQ”.  Rained all day (maybe sleet tonight).  Scholar Bowl.  Jeremy read questions.  Lots o’ people sick!  Senior meeting in Dodson’s for home room.  Talked about selling stuff for senior trip.  Swedish jet (prototype) crashed.  Notes in Government.  Watched “Huck Finn” in Lit.  Nissa wrote me a note.  I wrote her one back.  Reviewed in Spanish.  Notes in Physics.  Pizza for lunch.  Notes, problems in Prob & Stats.  Groundhog saw his shadow today.  Coleman gone.  Study hall with Prigge.  Brenda bugged us.  We laughed a lot.  Jeremy and Harry saw coach about beisbol.  They were mad.  Tim, I talked about ITT.  He might go there.  Drove Joe, Jill, Lisa home.  Taped MTV (“Armageddon It”, “Wild Thang”).  Took Jill, Lisa to Lisa’s.  They skated in our garage.  Saw car wreck by Simons’ garage.  Still raining.  Got W2’s today.  Almost filled Jeremy’s taxes.  Darrin’s bug done.  Mom got home, went to interview at Sparta hospital.  Darrin came over.  Nudists on Geraldo.  Read “Huck” Cliff’s Notes.  Did O.R.L., O:GH.  To Darrin’s testing bug.  He left around 9:25pm.  Mom home, didn’t like interview.  Watching Dave’s 7^th anniversary.  Hungry.  Didn’t do Prob & Stats.

Jeremy too me to school.  Jill stayed home sick.  Went by office to say give me Jill’s homework.  No Scholar Bowl.  Studied Government in home room.  Jeremy and Brad supposed to sell newsapapers, but they didn’t (one side of paper printed upside-down).  Took ch 2 Government test.  Stock broker came in talking to Berny (gave presentation 2^nd and 3^rd hours).  Had a “reading” day in Lit (most people watching broker).  Mike got yelled at.  Sis my senior will/activities.  Talked in Spanish.  Had Physics test.  Easy.  Sat afterwards.  Gave senior will to Mrs Dodson.  Ate toasted ravioli.  Took notes in Prob & Stats.  Came up with Operation: Groundhog.  6^th hr study hall.  Goofed.  Darrin did Accounting.  Darrin took me to Family Flair. Got hair trim.  Thinner.  No length cut.  He took me home.  Little cooler out.  Misted all eve.  Jill better.  Did TAYE a lot!  Jill helped me in room.  Tested walkie-talkies and talked to Jeremy outside till 5pm.  Came in, ate pizza rolls, fries, etc.  Watched TV.  Bug (Darrin’s) is almost done.  Jeremy got new Caravan.  They ate out.  He called me, then got me.  He borrowed my Navy book.  I helped him catch up in his journal. Darrin stopped by, left.  Nissa came by.  Ate Pringles.  She sang “Stand” and we saw the video.  Songs I like: 1) Stand  2) What I Am  3) Wild Thing (rap).  She’s mad at Jeremy because she couldn’t read his journal.  He brought me home around 9:45pm.  Mom shopped.  Didn’t get Jill’s homework.  Gonna sleep now.
