Wednesday, August 31, 1988

Wore Beach Boys shirt.  I drove.  Took Jill, Harry and Jeremy.  Listened to LSw/D and Harry's Train.  I was tired/bad mood all morning.  Talked about technological advances (off subject) in Con Ed.  Got and went over vocabulary books in English.  Talked more in Spanish.  Schedule changes finished!  Did trig in physics.  Spaghetti for lunch.  Got done late for lunch.  Went to study hall.  Helped Darrin with accounting.  Looked at Salvador Dali book.  Sat in corner bleachers in PE.  Tim played basketball.  Nissa was there.  Cindy came up to us (to talk to Nissa).  Nissa seems nice, too.  After PE, everyone stayed for newspaper meeting but me.  Brought vocabulary, Spanish home.  Called BAC.  Got till Sept 8 to drop Judo for full $28.  Jeremy called, fell asleep on phone.  I watched TV all evening.  Fell asleep from 4:30-5pm.  Dad worked at Dennis'.  I'm tired!  Darrin called.  Played guitar.  Mom, Jill and Dad got new tire for T-bird in Belleville.  Darrin and I went to White Lantern.  Bugged waitress.  Rode around.  Went to Lisa's.  He gave her a picture of Hanna.  Tape recorded us singing.  Came home, listened to it.  He left.  I'm ready for bed now.  Dad gave us brain-teasers in kitchen.  Supposed to call Harry and Jeremy, didn't.

Jeremy took me and Harry in truck.  T-bird has knotted left-front tire.  Got to school around 8am.  Darrin got in trouble with Rushing in home room about emergency card.  Talked about Ch 1 in Con Ed.  Had meeting (Mr. Slagley) with seniors about English IV, CPENG.  Took all hour.  Laughed in Spanish.  Sr-Jr schedule changes today.  Mr Slavik learned me today.  Jeremy and Aaron now in there.  Sat with Kendra.  Physics still easy.  Hamburger and fries at lunch.  Study hall, did Con Ed.  Made faces at 7th graders.  PE got lockers/locks.  Jeremy and Aaron there, too.  After school, DeAnn, Harry, Jeremy, Bart R, Jason B, Jeff T and I stayed for annual meeting.  Lasted till 3:something.  Jeremy took DeAnn home.  We all played Hot Wheels on porch.  Took Harry home.  I went to Jerem'ys.  Mr Slavik okay now.  Watched TV at Jeremy's.  Hi mom came home.  They ate.  Darrin came by.  Looked for Mr Smyth's house (Kari's dad).  Couldn't find.  Found with Darrin, not home.  Smyths might spend night at Slagleys.  Darrin and I came by my house.  BAC owes me $112, they kept $28 for Judo.  I'm mad!  Got Dairy Queen suit (kept one).  Went to Sparta.  Wal-Mart.  Saw Heils.  Saw Finks.  Went to DQ.  Got Buster Bar, Darrin got food.  Left (saw Rob, Shawn, Tom and Tony).  Went by Reann's.  She called last Friday, not Barbie.  Went to Darrin's.  Messed with his new folders.  Went riding. 

My apologies to Mr Salanik, our Spanish teacher.  I couldn't quite remember his name for the first few days so I "rounded off" to Slavik.

Monday, August 29, 1988

First real day of school.  Temp has been cool!  Lately 75-80 degrees!  Almost jacket weather!  Get up at 7am now.  Tim rode bike.  Jeremy took Harry and me in his truck.  Homeroom.  I like 1st hour.  English IV a little crowded.  Plenty o' work.  Jeremy's keeping a journal now.  Spanish was fun.  Harry, Darrin and I in there.  Laughed all hour.  Then physics.  Easy math.  Lunch (chili dog).  Saw Kari (new freshman).  5th study hall.  Did homework in library with Darrin.  Then PE.  74 jr high, 22 sr high.  Jeremy took DeAnn home, Harry, then me.  Aaron came by.  Found dog.  I borrowed Jeremy's typewriter.  Little John's.  Went to Jeremy's.  Played D&D till 6pm.  Aaron took me home.  Ate McDonald's.  Mom to DuQuoin to see Beach Boys.  Can't go to concert on 3rd.  Darrin came by around 8pm.  Drove to Jeremy's.  Making new characters. Rode around.  To River, Baldwin, Sparta, Dairy Queen drive-thru (saw Rob, got medium cone), home at 9:30pm.  Tired.

Sunday, August 28, 1988

Up at 10am.  Rained this morning.  Went to church with Mom and Dad.  We sat over where Schaeffers do.  Few people there.  Jill went to Sunday school, not church.  Came home.  Made phone calls.  Ate meat, etc.  Got ready.  Darrin picked me up around 2pm, went to high school track.  Harry drove Jeremy out there.  Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa came in T-bird.  We had 8 rocket launches.  Used walkie-talkies.  Taped.  We 4 came home to get new tape, Jill rode back with us.  Darrin and Harry went to get Harry's ignitors.  After launch #3 (or 4), Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and Jill left for Dairy Queen.  Harry left around 3:50pm.  Jeremy, Darrin and I went to Darrin's.  Listened to tape.  Talking to Darrin now about Aerosmith concert.  Went by my house.  Went to Hagler's.  Got free medium deep-pan pepperoni pizza and 3 hamburgers.  They ran out of everything.  Jeremy went to get baptized.  Darrin and I got tape recorder and tape and drove around taping with Rachel C and Mindy W.  Talked about Aerosmith and Guns-N-Roses concert Sept 3, might go.  Gelk.  Came home around 9pm.  Got ready for school tomorrow.  Gonna listen to cruise tape.  Talking to Darrin now.  Oh, Darrin said howdy.

Saturday, August 27, 1988

Up at 8:30am.  Got shower, ate, etc.  Left for Granite (1st time in 5 months) around 9:30am.  Mom drove.  Jill went.  I read Immortal rules.  Stopped at Gas-N-Grab.  Got peaches at Eckert's.  Went long(?) way on highway (by Horseshoe Lake).  Sprinkled.  Got Grandma.  Went to Hardees.  They dropped me off at Grandma's.  They went to JC Penney outlet.  I finished Nebulon Warrior.  Watched Discovery Channel.  They came home.  We left around 4pm.  I drove home.  Mom slept.  Stopped by TJ Maxx in Fairview Heights.  Rained then.  Went thru Smithton coming home.  Dad put running boards on truck.  Darrin called. He picked me up.  Sealed, painted, decalled our rockets.  Ready for launches tomorrow.  Gwen left.  George left.  Darrin brought me home.  Lisa came by for Darrin to Aaron's fish fry.  Darrin didn't go.  We ate.  I drove to Darrin's.  Watched Misc VCR tape till his family got home around 10:30pm.  Drove around town.  Talked to Aaron.  Mike's going with Sheila.  Tired, have headache.  Talked to Harry and DeAnn (went to St Louis today).  Drove.  Harry dropped DeAnn off.  Talked about Aaron's in Oct (Fireworks War II)!  Took Darrin home around 12:30am.  Came home.  Going to church tomorrow.  Jill heard brain tune-up tape.  Darrin got $30 for driving to Chicago (13 hours).  Dennis and Brenda in earlier.  I ate pizza, read comics for supper.  Well, guess I better go.

Big day!  Mom drove.  Got up at 7am.  Showered, dressed.  Cooked eggs and toast.  Jill went with Lisa.  Darrin picked me up around 7:45am for the 1st DAY OF SCHOOL!  Wore Beach Boys shirt (so did Jeremy).  Aaron wore White Water shirt.  Stood talking to Harry, DeAnn, Tim, Jeremy, Aaron, Brad P, Darrin and Mike by soda room (by band).  Weird, us the oldest.  Assembled in gym.  Got speeches.  Saw Mr. Smith.  Dismissed 7th-12th homerooms.  I'm in Rushing's.  Got schedules, etc.  Read from Handbook.  Smashed bugs.  Tried lockers.  Pretty fun.  Afterwards, stood by Prigge's office.  Darrin left.  Harry and DeAnn left.  Aaron, Brad P, Jeremy and I went to parking lot.  Brad P left.  Aaron left.  Jeremy took me home in truck.  Darrin fixed, painted his rocket, worked.  Dad mowed grass.  Aaron drove (Jeremy and I gave him $1 each) Jeremy and me to Belleville.  Went by BAC.  Dropped Calculus II (Jeremy and I did).  Went to Super America gas place.  Saw Doug H driving.  Went back way to the Mall.  Went thru Sears (saw free lightbulbs).  Went to jeans.  Aaron went to Waldenbooks.  Jeremy and I looked at Sears clothes, went to Waldens.  Looked at books.  Went to KayBee.  Jeremy looked at rockets.  Went to Circus World.  Messed around.  Went to Wix & Stix.  Smelled everything: incense, scent balls, scent chips, candles, sprayed potpourri spray on wrists.  Went to Long John Silvers.  Only ones there.  Got 2 fish, fries, hush puppies, extra "crumbs," medium Coke.  Left.  Stopped by Grandpa Pigeons.  Jeremy got school supplies.  Aaron got cherry tobacco and 5 lighters.  Came home.  David and Barbie had called a couple times each.  Supposed to drive to DuQuoin Fair for Riess.  Went to Sparta.  To NAPA for Aaron.  To Dairy Queen.  Rob and JoAnn working.  Tony Y just got off.  Michelle has quit.  Shawn came in.  Got free ice, water and soda.  Got $54 check.  Shawn gave me $7 to give to his dad at Buchheits.  Went to Wal-Mart.  Aaron got 4 folders.  Went to Buchheits.  Waited or Shawn's shells (shotgun).  Took back to Shawn.  Got home around 6:30pm.  Mom and Dad gone eating.  Went by Harry's.  He and DeAnn playing frisbee.  Went around block 3 times.  Stopped.  Played frisbee, talked.  Saw Juanita.  Matt S came over.  We left.  Went to Jeremy's.  His parents gone.  We ate a little.  Started X4.  Pretty fun.  Called Barb, not home.  Called Darrin.  See him tomorrow.  Played until 11:30pm, Aaron brought me home.  Mom talked to me.  Got ready for bed.  Oh, got 2 brain tune-up tapes in mail today.  Everyone knows about Ouija board now.  At Jeremy's, David and Barbie H came in. 

Thursday, August 25, 1988

Up at 8:30am.  Darrin came by around 8:50am.  Got Pop-Tart, milk, Immortal rules and left.  Went to Handee Mart.  Darrin got gas.  Spilled milk. Left.  Read rules all day.  Stopped in Okawville at Dairy Queen.  I had sore stomach.  Darrin got ham & cheese omelet, toast, bacon, Pepsi.  Went to Nashville (Humphrey's Photography) around 10am for Darrin's senior pictures.  I sat and read.  Family came in.  Left around 11:30am.  Went to St Louis.  To Union Station.  To St Louis Centre.  I got McDonald's, Darrin got Taco Bell (Mexicans).  Went to 10th floor, no higher.  Darrin talked to fat lady, not me.  Darrin got new rocket and 6 engines.  Went to East St Louis, back to Forest Park.  Science Center, closed at 5pm.  Zoo closed, Art Museum closed, etc.  Came home.  Darrin ate at Hardees in Belleville.  Drove around, came home.  Went thru New Athens, back by Baldwin, and home.  Jeremy already left (with mom) to Judo.  Got my rockets.  Went to Darrin's around 7pm.  Worked till 11pm on rockets.  He wanted me to spend the night, but didn't.  Came home around 11pm.  Got first "Countdown" today.  At St Louis Centre, went to Sharper Image, played with picture phones, electric synthesizer, electric saxophone, running machine, headset walkie-talkies and more.  Fun day.  Mom drove.  Jimmy got fish (mounted).  I'm almost done with Nebulon Warrior.  Excited about school tomorrow.  Guess I've written enough.  Darrin got 6-leg spider for his windshield.

We quit our Calculus II class early enough to get our money back.  I took the money and ran.  Jeremy took that money enrolled in a Judo class.

My first "Countdown" refered to a magazine about the Space Shuttle program.

Wednesday, August 24, 1988

Jeremy just called.  Anyway, Dad, Jimmy and Grandpa went squirrel hunting.  Grandpa called and woke me up around 10:30am.  I laid in bed till 1pm, watching CHiPs, National Geographic (about volcano (Vesuvius)).  Took shower.  Watched TV, ate.  Did little calculus.  Ate eggs for supper.  Drove, picked Jeremy up around 5:30pm, left at 5:40pm.  Went to the Mall, got Immortal rules.  Jeremy got rocket engines and Stupid Gun (Uzi).  We shot people from car.  Got to class at 7:15pm.  I didn't understand much tonight.  I'm dropping it.  Japanese girl with Jeremy all evening.  Did work on boards.  Darrin in Chicago for Riess.  Mom up, watching Trapper John.  Came home.  Went by Huck's for nothing.  Told Mom about calculus.  Gonna read Immortal rules now.

Up around 10:30am.  Watched TV till 12:30pm.  Dad went to Sparta with Grandma, Grandpa and Jimmy, took TV remote control to have fixed, I reprogrammed TV though.  Harry called.  Darrin came by around 1:45pm.  Went to Jeremy's.  Went to the high school.  Saw Terri R.  I got $12 deal, 3 outfits.  Tim showed up.  So did Dia W.  Had fun, Jeremy took all his knives/swords.  Got done around 4pm.  Dropped Jeremy off.  Darrin dropped me off.  Darrin cleaned carpets, called around 7pm.  I watched TV.  Jill and Dad went to Sparta to get Mom (supposed to eat, too) at 6:30pm.  Played guitar.  Darrin came over, Harry too.  Made Phoenix, Brazier, Pegasus and Scropio Shuttle II's.  Went to rock pile launch site around 8pm.  Launched 10.  Had Whistlers.  Tape recorded.  Had astronauts.  Harry left around 8:45pm.  Darrin and I were back in town around 9:30pm.  Went to Handee Mart.  Darrin got soda.  Saw Janet C and two others there.  Came home, dropped stuff off, got swim trunks.  Dale and Lisa leaving.  Tom called about Tony Yarbor(?).  We taped a train.  Went to Darrin's.  Listened to songs, tape tonight (Harry came over) till 10:30pm.  Darrin and I didn't swim.  Harry in up to stomach.  Talked about dreams, filling pool with stuff, etc. till 11:30pm.  Harry brought me home in Tempo.  I guess I'll fill out launch reports.  Mom and Dad came home around 7:30pm.  Guess that's all.

Jeremy called around 9:45am.  Woke me up.  Said David or Barbie H could take us to BAC.  Got up and ready.  Watched TV.  Dad and Jimmy went arrowhead hunting.  Found one.  Made Jill two characters, read X4.  Mom cashed my $30 check, $5 for gas.  Jeremy grounded to his room and bathroom, no keys/credit cards, license is his dad's!  $2000 damage, needs to go to court.  Darrin called.  I rode with Darrin to Belleville in Wess' Ranger.  Darrin got in Jeep, we drove home in stick-shifts.  No prob.  Got $4.50, 1.5 hours.  Mom got home.  Jill taking lessons from Mrs. White.  Mom, Jill and Brenda when to get perms (not Mom) in our truck.  Drove to Jeremy's around 6pm.  Left around 6:30pm.  Got to class.  Old Miss Snider, couldn't believe.  Met Evee, guy who made a plane, Japanese lady, arguing guy, etc.  Out (left) around 9:40pm.  Rushed to the Mall, just locked the doors.  I was going to get Immortal rules (D&D).  Went to McDonald's.  Harry and Aaron had senior pictures today.  Windy, cool.  Harry, DeAnn, Barbie F, Aaron (?), ?, ?, ?, etc. went to Cards game, bottom of ninth rained out.  Still hasn't rained here.  Tadlocks home from somewhere.  Wore Def Leppard shirt.  Nervous about senior pictures tomorrow.  Nervous about Calc II!  Saw Rachel C and Kendy M sitting at Rachel's.  Jeremy was depressed.  I raised his spirits a little, bought him an ice cream cone!  Saw their wreck site in Freeburg.  Bored now, just rambling...  Have D&D '88 folder-thing made.  Lisa wants some characters.  Aaron followed me thru town when we were getting home from Riess, then he disappeared (?).  Tired!  Listened to Falco 3 coming from BAC.  Heard Fresh Prince's new Freddy Krueger song.  Well, guess that's all.

This was the first day of Jeremy's and my Calculus II class at BAC.

Sunday, August 21, 1988

Up at 9:30am.  Dad drove me to work in truck (first time I've ridden in it).  Worked 10:30am-3:30pm.  Rachel was there.  Helped Tom open grill.  Dead business.  Jo (12:30pm-? (grill)), Rachel (10am-2pm), Rob (3:30pm-?).  Dad and Jimmy came in around 3:30pm.  I drove home in truck.  Mom to Granite.  Jimmy drew picture, bugged me.  I tried to work on D&D.  Watched TV with Jimmy.  Mom came home.  Had grilled supper.  Dennis and Brenda came over.  Darrin called, wanted me to go to Jeremy's.  See, they waited till 2:30pm or so for me to go to Belleville/St Louis with them (Jeremy (drove car), Aaron and Darrin), but I was late.  Got by old high school, saw Aaron's car at Jeremy's (Bubba washing his car), and Jeremy's car at stop sign.  Got to Jeremy's, they had rear-ended a car in Freeburg (Escort from Kansas) looking at girls.  Freeburg parade.  Front left of car smashed, Aaron's head cracked windshield, Darrin has sore leg.  Jeremy's dad YELLED!  He went in, we three left.  Went by Harry's.  DeAnn sleeping.  Harry playing Spelunker.  We goofed off there till 7:30pm.  Aaron went home to wash car and eat.  Darrin and I came to my house.  Got Shuttle II's, went to Darrin's.  Came back home.  Tried on suit (looks good!).  Jill swam at Amy's.  Built Warlock I & II.  Darrin read my home-made comics.  We ate.  Went to rock pile launch site (Haulage Road).  Had 12 launches.  Came to town.  Threw bottle rockets out of car.  Saw Harry and DeAnn in front of DeAnn's house in Tempo (Doolittles' loaner car).  Dropped Darrin off at 12am, came home.  Harry fell down his steps, hit head, stepped on nail.  I accidentally bit Jimmy before 7:30pm.  Last Dairy Queen day!  Guess I'll fill out rocket reports.

Saturday, August 20, 1988

Used blankets last night.  Woke up to drizzle.  Up around 9am.  Mom went to work (strike's to start Monday).  Dad mowed grass.  I ate, watched TV till around 1pm.  Mom came home.  I spy-taped from 8-8:30pm in kitchen.  They knew it was there.  Jeremy did "landscape."  Cooler out, still hot though.  Aaron came by.  Divided X1 treasure, etc.  He left around 3:20pm.  Gave his stuff back and Jeremy's.  Drove to work (4-10pm), Jo (?-6:30pm (bad mood)), Michelle (6:30-11pm (grill close)), Shawn (7-11pm (close)(laryngitis)).  Rained a little.  Dead business.  Got lists done real early.  Had Shawn with trouble with black people in drive-thru.  I rested 10-10:30pm, helped close till 11pm.  Today Carol's 2nd day.  Tom's hired to black girls (Jackie, Rachel).  Got home.  Mom up.  Taping Beach Boys, Beatles (on now), channel 9.  Aaron's mom taped This Old House 4-7pm.  Guess that's all, Shawn is outta debt to me for $70.

Up by 11am.  Rained a little this morning.  A little cooler out.  Watched Freddy Kruger MTV thing.  Ate.  Jimmy came over, played trucks with Dad, Dad got big hotdogs at Handee Mart.  I worked on D&D, played guitar.  Jimmy started his "eye" picture.  Jill and Crissy went to movies with Harry, DeAnn, Tim, John Wagner (anyone else?).  Jimmy called St Louis from here.  Reann called, supposed to go to her house, didn't.  Drove to work (4:30-10pm), Jo (4:30-11pm (grill close)), Rob (6:30-11:30pm (close)).  Jeremy and Darrin went to movies.  Everyone saw "Big Blue" and/or "Nightmare on Elm Street IV."  I'm jealous.  Made Dilly Bars.  Got break.  Ate real Peanut Buster Parfait.  Saw Mr. Reeves, lady from school office, Phil W, David and Bambi came in (talked till 10:15pm with them).  Drank cherry Misty.  Had couple busy spurts before Rob came in.  Janet A and boyfriend came in, talked about Pheonix.  Guess that's all.

Pheonix was another band we had around that time.  Janet's brother was the bass player for one of our Pheonix sessions.

Thursday, August 18, 1988

Up at noon.  Had 12 hours sleep.  Ate pizza.  Jill baked cake.  Jimmy came over, played with Dad's trucks.  Worked on D&D.  Grandma and Grandpa over.  Worked 4-9:30pm (drive-thru), Rob (7-10:30pm (close)), Michelle (6:30-10:30pm (grill close)), Jo (?-6:30pm (grill)).  She had headache/sick.  Shawn to Six Flags.  Jill taped Freddy Kruger MTV.  Not too busy.  Good mood.  Dave S came in, I was to get ouija board, didn't.  On empty fuel going to work.  Got break.  Got lemon lime Star.  Tom back working.  Came home, Mom and Dad outside.  Got gas $1.90 at Clark, saw David B.  Went to Jeremy's.  Aaron there.  Finished X1!!!  YAY!  Darrin came over, then Harry.  Got Cokes, talked on Jeremy's driveway.  Got cactus on my hand chasing can.  Cuts all over.  Left ear messed up.  At 12:30am, came home.  Aaron went home.  Jeremy, Harry, Darrin and I talked in Dad's truck bed about ghosts.  Darrin left around 1:08am (he has to work at 7am)!  We 3 broke up talking about religion around 2am.  Harry took Jeremy home.  I'm gonna eat cake, etc. now.  Hope something scary happens, you know?  Played guitar today.  Had lady ask for trash boxes to move with.  New ice cream machine came unplugged.  Drank 7 Up all eve.  Just filling space now!  New lady starts at Dairy Queen tomorrow.  Lotta applicants.  Outta room now, so bye.

At the end,"Just filling space now" and "Outta room now" refer to me trying to finish the page I was writing on.

Shawn and I woke up at 10am.  JoAnn called around 10:10am, told Shawn to come home ASAP (Anna didn't show (Jamie quit last week)).  Shawn ate cereal, got shower, Jeremy picked him up around 10:45am.  He started at 11:30am.  I ate, listened to tape (fell asleep), watched This Old House, worked on D&D (for couple hours).  Aaron called to D&D, Jeremy in Sparta though.  Jill and Dad went to dentist.  Jimmy came over.  Watched TV with Dad, got US1 out.  Hot! today.  Played guitar.  Siamese cat hanging around.  Drove to work (6-10:30pm (close)), Rob (?-9:30pm), Michelle (?-10:30pm (grill close)).  Jeremy and Darrin called.  Mom went shopping.  Dead til around 8pm.  Busy.  Rob almost got sent home around 9pm, but busy again.  Done by 10:30pm.  Tom got home from vacation.  David, Barb H came in.  Rob big help today.  Came home, Mom still up.  Reann called today.  Came by Dairy Queen.

Up around 10:45am, watched TV, ate.  D&D a little.  Reann called.  Came to Dairy Queen.  Jeremy drove with Darrin, Jeff to auto auction 8:15am-4:30pm (or so).  Got GI Joe 81.  Drove to work (4-9:30pm).  Helped Shawn (5:30-10:30pm) close (done by 10:10pm).  Michelle (?-10:30pm (grill close)).  Brought Shawn home.  Went to Jeremy's.  Harry came over.  We 4 talked.  Went to Jeremy's room, talked.  Jeremy filled out scholarships or something.  Shaw and I came home, he ate, we laid on living room floor, watched "Harry and the Hendersons" till 2am, we fell asleep.  He borrowed "Harry and the Hendersons."  Borrowed Fantasy Wargaming.  DeAnn sore from volleyball.  Guess that's all.

Up and ready by 7am.  Jeremy picked Harry and me up in truck.  Went to park.  Saw Mark, Brad P, Brad C, Barbie F, Lori, Jody, Harry, Jeremy, Darrin, me and Becky.  Worked till 10:30am.  HOT!  Dropped Barb's shovel off at her house.  Dropped Harry off.  Went to Darrin's, he's asleep.  Ate school pizza.  Went to Riess.  Jeremy drove VW van, Darrin Mazda RX7, Jeff truck (wanted me to sickle weeds, nope!). Came home, watched TV, ate.  Played with whoopie cushion.  Jeremy came over around 5pm.  Ate spaghetti for supper.  Drove to Dairy Queen (on recall).  Worked 7-9:30pm, Shawn (?-10:30pm (close)), Michelle (?-10:30pm (grill close)).  Jo and Shawn's sister sat in Dairy Queen all evening.  Pretty busy.  Reann called and came in Dairy Queen.  Shawn "got sick".  Helped close till 9:50pm.  Got lemon-lime Misty.  Shawn wanted to spent night with me, but didn't.  Ears still clogged.  Came home.  Aaron came by.  Brought D&D stuff to me.  Drank Kool-Aid.  Darrin called 10:15pm.  He and Jeremy went to Belleville.  Went to Darrin's in Aaron's truck.  Darrin got "Small World" (Huey).  Watched Mad Movies.  Swam till midnight.  Aaron left.  Jeremy took me home.  Still wet!  Ha!

Water boil order!  Up at 7:30am.  Drove to Aaron's around 8am.  He fed dogs, ate.  I wore Libra shirt, swim trunks, shoes.  Went by Jeremy's.  Couldn't find tickets.  Got Barb while Jeremy ate.  Picked him up.  Left.  Got gas in Freeburg.  Listened to Beatles and Beach Boys.  Got there no problem around 10am.  Parked by green station wagon.  Got picture taken.  Rode rides, got soaked on Thunder Beach.  Hot, hot!  Saw Acrobats of China at 4:30pm.  Aaron and I saw Bugs Bunny show at 5:45pm while Jeremy and Barb ate pizza.  Jeremy didn't bring Terri.  Aaron and I watched a girl with white frizzy hair and balcony guy.  Plenty o' people.  Rode Condor.  Saw Beach Boys in helicopters around 6:30pm.  Played 7-8:30pm.  After show, got $17 t-shirts.  Left!  Back... got burned.  Stayed wet all day.  Saw Randy, Sandy, etc.  Saw Chevy Show.  Fun!  Left around 9pm.  Got home.  Dropped Barb off.  Took Aaron home.  He came back in town to festival (with Jeremy?).  Took Jeremy home.  Got home around 11pm.  Had bad headache, tired, hungry, wet.  Fell asleep around midnight.  Oh, got snow cone cups taken away in Time Tunnel.  Our boat had water in it, we bailed it out, then inside we were stopped, cups taken away.  Soaked by splashing on flume.  Tried to throw cup of water on Jeremy downhill but got Aaron and me.  Showers up to cool off.  Saw fat lady in green on swings.  Rode bumper cars (cool!).  Guess that's about all.

Got up at 6am.  Called Jeremy 6:45am.  Never went to park to clean.  Went to St. Clair Square with Mom.  Slept.  Got sport coat, slacks, shirt, tie, jeans, collar shirt and Libra shirt.  Got White Castles.  Got home.  Slept till 4:30pm, Shawn came over.  Drove to Sparta after dinner, got check.  Went to Sparta with Shawn.  Talked to David at Clark, left around 5:10pm.  Shawn went to Dairy Queen, I came home.  Stormed 5:15-5:45pm.  Didn't work at park 6-9pm either.  Went to Aaron's around 7pm, played X2.  Came to town, Coal Festival.  Saw Grandma and Grandpa.  Took Harry, DeAnn, Jeremy and Aaron to Aaron's truck.  Came home around 9:30pm.  Went thru shirts.  Have Lisa's hamster.

Woke up at Darrin's around 12:30pm, ate.  Went swimming (Jeremy and I).  Darrin went to work at 2pm.  Darrin came home, took us to Tamaroa in Ranger, Jeremy drove Ranger home, Darrin van.  Stopped at Hardees.  Owe Darrin $3.  Rained on us. Got home around 5pm.  Jeremy's house locked, he came over here.  Goofed around until his mom got home.  Aaron came over then.  He and Aaron went to CF, I came home and worked on D&D.  Got to sleep around 12:30am.  Guess that's all.

Up by 11:15am.  Ate eggs, sausage.  Spilled milk all over at Jeremy's.  Jeremy's mom left for work around noon, Jeremy left to go to Marine guy around noon, Aaron brought me home around noon.  I ate, watched TV.  Dad replaced shower.  I took bath.  Worked on D&D island (Bays).  Mom brought McDonald's home, went to Belleville with Brenda in new Grand Am.  Renee came over with petition against movie.  I went to Jeremy's.  Darrin there.  Terri and Sherry(?) came over.  Laughed at Messenger.  They left.  Played card game till midnight.  Came home, going back (Darrin's picking me up) to Darrin's with Jeremy to spend the night to play card game and watch meteor shower from 2-4am.

Wednesday, August 10, 1988

Legs still itch from sunburn.  Supposed to play D&D this morning but didn't.  Played guitar, watched TV, ate all day.  Hot!  Got haircut at 3pm.  Still long.  Took Tim's typewriter back.  Lisa and Dawn came over.  Talked to Harry.  Church softball game.  Jeremy went to Navy recruiter.  Aaron came over around 6:30pm.  Played computer, went through D&D stuff, watched TV, etc.  Went to Jodi T's surprise birthday party with Jeremy, Darrin and Aaron.  Lisa C got thrown in the pool.  Gonna sleep.
Aaron and Jeremy came by while I was in bed around 11pm.  Spent night at Jeremy's.  Played D&D and new card game till 4:45am.  I slept on couch downstairs.  Aaron on Jeremy's floor.

Went and registered at school.  Got $10 Riess.  Went to Jeremy's.  Ate.  Came home, slept, watched TV.  Played guitar (Jimmy and Juanita over).  Harry got Huey tickets.  He's at Whitesnake.  Jill got braces off.  Juanita had tests.

Ok, so maybe everyday isn't super exciting.  "Huey" refers to Huey Lewis and the News.

Up and ready by 7:30am.  Jeremy picked me up in car.  Cashed 2 Dairy Queen checks.  Jeremy got to Navy recruit office by 8:30am to take ASVAB.  I sat on bench, went to B&G (got 4 picks), got scented wood ball.  Got Mormon book.  Talked to Navy recruiter (Fish) from 10am-12pm.  Took test.  Waited for Jeremy.  Left there around 12:30pm.  Wore Def Leppard shirt.  Got to 105 degrees.  Went to Army Surplus.  To Wendy's.  Jeremy got Superbar.  To Terry's.  She came home with us.  Went to Riess for checks.  Didn't get them.  Went to Jeremy's.  Room rearranged. Tried to find someone to go to ball game.  Aaron came, left (took his cousin). Jeremy's mom went.  Came home.  Tired. 

This was the day the recruiter tried to get me to sign up for the Navy.  I got 100% on the test I took while waiting for Jeremy.  Ultimately I said "no" and waited outside for him.

Friday, August 5, 1988

Up and ready by 11:30am.  Went to Dollar Store for jeans, none.  Got $5 gas at HanDee Mart.  Read comics.  Finished "Fishing Springs."  Jeremy worked 9:30am-? (supposed to be 4pm, off early).  Grandma and Grandpa were over.  Doolittles saw movie.  Drove to work (4-7pm (supposed to be 10pm, Tom rescheduled because supposed to storm)), Jo (4-11pm, close grill), Shawn 7-11pm (close).  Had Reann come in.  Fan in drive-thru.  Wall painted outside drive-thru.  Got $40 check.  Had soda and peanut buster parfait on way home.  Jill went skating.  Darrin came over.  Jeremy gone.  Darrin and I saw "A Fish Called Wanda," funny.  Stopped by Taco Bell and McDonald's on way home.  Too late to call Barb, called Reann earlier.  Barb worked.  Got "C" in calculus.

Thursday, August 4, 1988

Up, ate ham & cheese omelets.  Played Uno till 2pm.  Rob came over, scarred, long hair in front.  We went to swim.  Saw Piasa Bird.  All this in Jeremy's Lancer.  Crossed ferry, flies galore.  Hot!  Legs really peeling and raw.  Came home.  Ate sandwiches.  Called Dairy Queen around 5:45pm saying I may be late.  Left.  Stopped in Belleville to get gas.  Bad storm in Freeburg.  Came home through St. Libory.  Got home.  Mom had shopped.  Called Dairy Queen around 7:05pm, Jamie has replaced me.  Juanita, Harry, Jim and DeAnn came over, left.  Harry got trip pictures at Walmart (made copies).  Grandma, Grandpa came over.  Picked Jill up at Lisa's.  Went to Jeremy's with Aaron and Darrin, watched "Clash of the Titans."  Ate 3 pizzas, too.  Harry is Fabian.  Barbie H came over.  Came home around 12:30am.  Oh, met Snake Man.

This was the day we returned from our overnight stay in Alton.  The "trip pictures" referred to a canoe trip in Missouri that Harry, Darrin, Jeremy and I took from July 27 to July 30.

Wednesday, August 3, 1988

Up and ready late, by noon.  Watched TV, ate.  Jeremy worked 9:30am-4pm (supposed to be till 1pm).  Hot.  He finally got off.  Alton.  Got lost around Glen Carbon, SIUE looking for gas.  After a while got to Alton.  Chris was there in a yellow Stingray.  Ate spaghetti and toasted ravioli.  Went to Chris'.  Susan (Chris') and Michelle (Nancy S) came over.  Left around 1am.  Got home.  I slept on couch-bed with fan on, everyone downstairs in Aaron S's room.

My friend Jeremy's older brother, Aaron, lived in Alton.  So a small group of us went to spend the night with him. 

Tuesday, August 2, 1988

Up and ready by 10am.  Jeremy called.  Dad took me to Jeremy's.  Jeremy got poison ivy shot.  Came home.  Called Aaron.  Aaron came in.  We made worked to "DQ."  Were gonna play Axis & Allies, then Rail Baron, but nothing.  Went to my house around 12:10pm in MG (I stood).  Got my guitar.  Went to Harry's.  Recorded "Dairy Queen", will record it!  Shawn and Trina came over.  Jeremy took me to my house.  Shawn and Trina came in.  Jeremy and Aaron left.  We 3 listened to songs, watched cartoons.  They left around 2:20pm.  Ate.  Mom came home early to go to doctor with Dad in truck.  I drove to work (4-9:30pm (supposed 10pm) drive-thru).  Shawn (7-10:30pm (close)), Michelle (6:30-10:30pm (grill close)), Jo (?-6:30pm (grill)).  Jo helped me with Nightly and Extra List.  She had $200 VCR in back.  It was dead today.  Got break.  Shawn got Ouija from Rita.  I almost got off at 9pm, but busy, left at 9:45pm.  Shawn mad cause I didn't help close.  I did side section after I was off though.  Came home listening to "DQ."  Was gonna type, Jeremy's typewriter out of ink.  Borrowed Tim's.  Talked to him a while.  Gonna type "Fishing Springs" now.  Harry, DeAnn, Jeremy, Aaron, ?, and ? went to Cards game tonight.  Got new raisin.

Monday, August 1, 1988

Up and ready by 10:15am.  Dad got new truck.  Put TRUK MATE on it.  He drove to Sparta for haircut.  Called Harry around 10am.  Still asleep.  Called Jeremy around 10:30am, woke him up.  Watched "Long, Long Trailer."  Called Harry around 11am.  Called Jeremy.  Woke him up.  Went by Jeremy's around 11:25am.  Woke him up.  Went to Harry's with guitar.  Gonan make "Phase It."  Jeremy finally came at 12:20pm.  We had to leave at 12:30pm.  I left mad.  It was HOT! today.  Jeremy came over and apologized.  He left in MG.  I slept from 1:30-3pm.  Got ready for work.  Left around 3:25pm.  Worked 4-10:30pm (close), Jeremy (5:30-10pm (help)), Michelle (4:30-10:30pm (grill close)).  Dead.  Jeremy drive-thru.  Dave came in, left.  Shawn came in, ate with him.  Made Dairy Queen rap.  Goofed off.  Called each other dumb names.  Closed by 10:30pm.  Talked to Tom around 10 minutes.  Came home.  Talked to Mom (still in living room).  Gonna call Jeremy now.  Oh, face over half peeled now.
