Hollow weenie!  Up around 7am.  Sunny out in mornings now.  Darrin went to Jeremy's early to dress up.  I put cat skull in new water.  Jeremy picked me up in truck around 8:03am with Joe and Scott.  Jeremy had ninja boots, camo pants, ripped Bob shirt ("Howdy" on front, one bad pig on back), 2-3 earrings and moussed hair in a semi-mohawk.  Had braided tail.  Orange/green/red/purple hair.  Got to school.  Got to home room barely on time.  Darrin wore boots, camo pants, earrings, a blue Mickey Mouse shirt (with a swastika on the back) and his hair was moussed straight out.  It was rainbow.  Fatguy had a dumb, 60's, corduroy overcoat thing.  Dan had a wetsuit on.  I was in a pretty bad mood till Physics.  Took Con Ed ch 11 quiz.  Went over it.  Got yelled at.  Got worksheets.  She went over ch 11 again.  Filled out credit applications.  Last day of October '88!  I am so tired!  Anyway, in English we watched first half of "War of the Worlds."  Second half manana.  Saw Harry in Frankenstein costume.  Mark was a skate-border.  Brenda was a clown (ha-ha)!  Did worksheet in class in Spanish.  Fun.  Brian K was a sailor!  Mrs Danford was the usual witch.  We took notes, did problems.  DeAnn was a hatching chick.  Angie F was a cowgirl.  Janette was a vampire with a blood capsule.  Matt L was a dentist.  Had hamburger and fries on class A for lunch.  They had to fry up more for us.  Ketchup was watery.  Circus sat at our table.  Lisa C sat with us too.  Almost late for study hall.  Looked at "Parents" and "Journal" magazines.  Didn't dress in PE.  Sat on 2 bleachers and watched junior high play polish kickball.  Costume judging was then.  Nissa was a cave woman.  Rachel B won 3rd (skunk).  DeAnn was 2nd.  California Raisins got first (Harry almost did).  Jeremy now M-Club treasurer.  Rhonda put Harry's makeup on my arm in PE.  Got candy.  Left.  Rode home with Jeremy and Nissa in back with Scott and Kent.  Dropped Scott off.  Then by Nissa's.  Came to my house.  Got cat skull done.  Juanita came by.  Amy here.  Sat in my room.  Went to Jeremy's with TAYE stuff.  He built "Wallie."  Launched it.  PPLLTL.  He built "Wallie Wallie," launched it.  Nope.  Again with #2, it went around 20'.  Joe came over, again, around 5'.  Counted the "Wallie!"  Jeremy washed hair because he was made to.  We listened to Bill Cosby.  Mrs Slagley dressed like a mouse.  Looked for Jeremy's birdcage in garage so he can have our sick bird.  I might get the other one.  Joe and I played football.  Tasted clove oil.  Bad!  Long... huh?  Then Jeremy dropped Joe off around 5:30pm, then me.  Mom and Dad to Sparta.  I ate.  Amy came over.  Played the guitar.  Jill and Amy answered the door to trick-or-treaters (6-9pm).  It was dumb for Halloween to be on a school/week night.  Mom and Dad got back.  Went walking.  So did Jill with friends.  Darrin, Jeremy, Joe and Aaron came by.  We were dark-clothed!  Jeremy and Darrin saw "Halloween 4" last night.  Anyway, we moved in the shadows.  Got candy at Joe's, Joe's neighbor's, Harry's (strobe light, etc)(Grandpa and Big Harry on the front porch), Tim's (handfuls), Mark's and Mr Connors'.  Found toothpaste.  Joe got egg thrown on him.  Wore trick-or-treating bags on head to DeAnn's.  They were fixing pumpkins.  Got candy there.  Talked to Cupcake and people at Kathy's Korner.  Snuck around.  Came to my house.  Aaron took Jeremy, Joe and Darrin home around 8:45pm.  Dad just got Jill somewhere.  Mom was mad at Jill.  Darrin and Joe were accused of soaping Harry's Mercury, but we didn't.  Gonna go to sleep when I'm done with this!  Harry's costume was: boots with thick (6" or more) soles, bloack socks, brown corduroys, blue shirt (stuffed with pillows), greenish jacket and $24 Franky mask.  He cracked me up.  A nail went in his foot.  Susan B was a clown.  Roy D was a dumb Freddy K.  We sang Happy Birthday to Bob at lunch.  Stacy G was an Indian.  Jody was in ball-and-chain.  Nicole had on overalls.  Gets dark early now!

Kraft has been bought out!  Up around 10:15am new time.  Set clocks back (not watch yet).  Rebuilt my bed (took mattress cover off).  Ate dinner.  Built Exxus.  Launched it.  Unsuccessful.  Did lotta computer.  Played guitar.  Watched TV.  Played football with Jimmy.  Darrin came over.  Called Jeremy.  Took Jill to Sarah's.  Played football with Darrin.  Threw rocks.  Found cat skull (am sanitizing it now).  Car won't run (?)  Sarah came over.  Darrin and Jeremy to the movies.  I read Darrin's Con Ed book.  Set obstacle course for him to find his book in tree later.  Watched TV.  Gonna sleep now.

Up around 12pm.  Mom got home from work.  She and Jill to Granite.  Wore sleep shirt all day.  Dad and Jimmy went to put deer stands up.  I watched TV.  Didn't make bed.  Played guitar.  Ate.  That's about all.  Jimmy and Dad got home.  Dad to bed.  Jimmy stayed, went home.  Watched Mr Wizard, Charles in Charge.  Called Darrin.  He ate with aunt (supper).  Mom and Jill got home.  Dad got "ET" for his birthday.  Watched cartoons.  Watched "This Old House" (new one).  Darrin came over.  Called Jeremy.  Played guitar for him.  Aaron came over.  Jeremy came over.  Played guitar, they sang.  Harry at DeAnn's.  Stood outside and talked till around 9:30pm.  Mom, Dad, Jill, Jimmy and Juanita to watch "ET" here.  Lisa came by.  We all rode Jimmy's bike.  Darrin was cold.  Jeremy fell in the bushes.  Talked about tons o' stuff.  Darrin went home.  Aaron had to "talk to me," so he and I went riding.  Jeremy in his truck.  Saw Jenny P and Rachel C.  Picked them up.  Got Jeremy at my house.  Jeremy in back with Jenny and Rachel.  Stopped by Rachel's mom's.  Rode around Marissa.  Saw Tim.  He gave us donuts (?)  Went to Handee Mart.  Rachel got Certs.  Saw Hershel Lee.  Started raining.  Came home around 10:45pm.  They four went to McDonald's.  Doolittles left then.  I typed on computer.  I'm the only one up now.  Gonna set clocks back tomorrow.  I guess that's all...

Dad took me and Jill around 7:55pm.  Got to Scholar Bowl practice.  Jeremy, Nissa and Mark went to Red Bud thing all day.  Went to home room.  Talked about ch 11 in Con Ed.  She yelled at us.  Got half an hour to read ch 11.  She gave us our grades (B+).  Stupid stuff in English.  Took straws and corn.  Didn't use them.  Reading hour 3rd hour.  Read "Planets" about Venus and Mars (TAYE).  Harry had my "Countdown" and ghost book.  3 minutes till end of class, I heard "twang, twang, twang."  I thought, "Oh no!"  Mr Salanik sang "Groovy Kind of Love" in the quietness of reading hour.  He was good!  We clapped, so did Mercer's and Dodson's classes.  Then half the school came over for encore.  He played "La Bamba - Summer of '69 - Twist and Shout - Groovy Love" medley.  Lasted almost to tardy bell.  Mercer took pictures.  A real crowd-pleaser.  Long day, I'm warning ya!  Got to Physics.  Did problems all hour.  Easy stuff.  Pizz for lunch.  Got Barb's bread.  Darrin and I sat at round back table in study hall.  Talked about planets and TAYE.  Left.  Met Aaron.  Went back to library study hall for 6th hour.  Mr Salanik had study hall.  Aaron and I sat at the same table Darrin and I sat at.  Aaron threw pencil at ceiling.  I read sleeping book.  Salanik kept coming over to us and warning us, everybody really.  Barb and Michelle too!  Folk dancing in Mercer's area.  Pumpkin carving contest:  Glenn, Harry and Darrin.  Last 5 minutes everyone went to the commons.  3rd place: Shulte's PE.  2nd place: Kerkhover's class.  1st place: Coleman's PE (US!)  We got a 3-level pumpkin trophy full of candy.  Got lots (around 55 pieces).  Anyway, we had Mr Coleman in Driver's Ed car.  Silly.  Put candy and books in jacket.  Rode home with Darrin.  He dropped Scott off, then me.  I put junk away.  Joe called.  Launched "Maelstrom" into orbit!  Made computerized TAYE records more complete.  Jeremy called.  Joe came over.  Played computer (Gyruss, Music Maker, etc).  Drove Joe home around 5:30pm.  Jimmy over.  He, Mom and Dad ate Chinese.  Stopped by Harry's.  He and DeAnn going to the movies.  Took Joe home.  Came home.  Jeremy and Mark here.  Went to Belleville with them (Mark drove).  Listened to punk music.  Got gas in New Athens.  Went to the Mall.  Saw Mrs Dodson.  Went to music shop, Hardees, piano store, pet store, B Dalton, Tinder Box (Mark got clove cigarettes, he smoked them all evening).  Left to Rally's.  Ate outside in the cold.  Left.  Got tickets for 9pm "Pumpkin Head."  Jeremy paid back $6 for Space Shuttle coin.  I used it.  Went to Christian bookstore.  He got tape.  Back to movies.  Saw Joe B and Kendra there.  Waited till 9:25pm to show movie.  Mark on far left of theater, me next to him, Jeremy on my right, fat lady (smelled like Gordon) next to Jeremy, lady in front of Mark.  Guy with bulge haircut in front of me.  Tall guy in front of Jeremy.  Kendra and Joe right behind us.  Theater was packed.  After movie, we left.  Drag-raced Kendra by Mermie Cemetery.  She won.  Looked for dumb station wagon:  gone.  Went by haunted house.  Then by haunted beauty parlor.  Had severe nose drippage.  I still do!  Came home back way.  Dropped Jeremy off, then me.  Tired.  Nose running.  Might go to Granite tomorrow.  Oh, Darrin went to Fright Nights with a bunch of people.  Guess that about wraps it up.

Up at 6:55am.  Mom to work early.  Alaskan whales are free!  Jeremy picked me up (supposed to at 7:40am) around 7:50am in car (with Joe and Scott).  Had first Scholar Bowl practice.  Sad!  During home room, had senior meeting in commons.  Guy was here about senior stuff.  Got out of 1st hour.  Turned in Con Ed folder.  Darrin and Jeremy got their senior books today.  Cool!  2nd hour, had lady from Hickey school talk to us about listening.  Aaron slept.  Mercer wouldn't take homework, so I crammed it in my pocket!  She sat behind me.  Talked in Spanish.  Wrote things about Mr Salanik.  Mine was positive.  Fun!  Did problems at board and at seat in Physics.  Had spaghetti for lunch.  DeAnn had some of mine.  Nissa brought Tangoes to lunch.  She and Jeremy played.  Talked to Fred about trip to Florida.  Sounded negative.  Got to study hall.  Darrin and I filled out his senior book.  Played volleyball in PE.  Clan vs everyone.  We won 3 games.  Fun!  Rode home with Jeremy, dropped Joe and Scott off, then DeAnn, then me, then Harry.  Renee came by in a red Camaro.  Jill went riding looking for Lisa.  Dad came home.  Went to look for Jill.  Jill came home.  Then Dad.  I watched TV.  Got November "Countdown" and "Arch Digest."  Ate some.  Fell asleep for 15 minutes around 4:30pm.  Hold on please...
It's now 10:07pm.  Harry was just over, I'll tell you in a little bit...
Anyway, Jill went with Lisa to march in Sparta parade.  It has rained all evening.  Darrin came by.  Left.  I ate a little chicken & dumplings.  Darrin picked me up.  Went to Red Bud High School for Career Day.  Saw the Army guy who came here.  Saw Mr and Mrs Asherman.  Lef there.  Went by Hardees Express.  Got cones and water and straws for manana's Corn War in English.  Came home thru Sparta.  Parade just over.  Saw Darrin's parents, Billy, Mike and Hannah. Came home.  Heard "new" Def Leppard ("Armageddon It") on Q.  Rode around town.  Came home around 8:50pm.  Filled out senior stuff form.  Got check.  Came in to write this.  Harry came over.  Needed paint and flashlights for manana's pumpkin carving contest.  I'm gonna be the nerd.  Couldn't find anything.  Gave him "Countdowns."  He left.  I'm finishing this long thing up.

Drove Jill.  Listned to Guns-n-Roses.  Senior trip might be to Mustang Island in Texas.  Home room silly.  Ch 11 Con Ed.  Off-track about Vegas and credit cards.  Mrs Heyl for English.  Took spelling test (bad).  Did work in class.  Other side of room shot corn at us a lot.  Talked in Spanish.  Fun.  Sure-fire!  Took notes first half of Physics, did work (finished) second half.  2 orders of toasted ravioli for lunch.  Cut in line with Harry and DeAnn.  Also had BBQ chips and milk.  Got Aaron fiesta chips (owe him $.35).  Tim borrowed $1.  On to study hall.  I talked to the Prigger all hour.  Brats in there (study hall).  Played soccer in track in PE.  Aaron, Darrin and I vs Jeremy, Harry, Shawn H and Glenn.  Gonna kill Shawn H (new curly hair) tomorrow.  Drove DeAnn home.  Talked to Jeremy, Joe, Harry and Dan in front of DeAnn's house.  Stopped by home.  Went to Harry's.  Finally, Harry, DeAnn, Joe, Jeremy and I played Trivial Pursuit.  Came home around 5pm.  Watched TV.  Borrowed 4 disks.  Mom got home.  Took her to dentist, picked Jill up at Lisa's.  Came home.  Played 2-square with Jill and Jimmy in garage.  Threw football before that.  Ate.  Mom went to Mad Pricer.  Juanita came down.  I typed story 1 (about Sarah).  Printed it.  Carried in groceries.  Gotta do Con Ed notebook now.  Scholar Bowl meeting tomorrow morning.  Oh, Jeremy read a Groo comic today.

Val V came back to school yesterday.  I drove Jill and Lisa.  Listened to "Addicted to Love."  Jeremy, Fat Guy and Harry sold newspapers today.  Went over checks, etc. in Con Ed.  Had ch 10 quiz.  Got answers from Laurie.  Got 19 out of 20.  A!  Did stuff in English.  They shot corn at us.  Got dumb smiley stickers.  Put them on our shirts.  Talked in Spanish.  Told about my "ideal girlfriend."  Did problems in Physics.  Easy!  Oh, Aaron stuck pencil in English ceiling.  Ate chicken noodle soup, BBQ chips, cookies and milk for lunch ($1.25).  Darrin and I drew in study hall.  I took stuff to see Prigge, but didn't.  Inside in PE.  Played Clan Volleyball.  Whatever-you-want day.  Fun.  Silly in shower room.  Drove home alone.  Lisa came over.  They left.  Dad and Jimmy gone.  Typed new TAYE payload, files, OMNI, roster (printed), and orbit files.  Watched TV.  Ate pizza, fries, etc.  Dad picked Mom up around 6pm.  She ran off TAYE top secret but didn't bring them home.  It's okay.  I NEED A HAIRCUT!!!  Darrin came over around 7pm.  We watched Geraldo's devil worship thing on channel 5.  Played "Addicted to Love" and looked through senior drawer.  Juanita came down for Jimmy.  Still here?  Gotta read ch 11 Con Ed.  Mercer will be gone tomorrow!  Darrin's going to be at Six Flags Friday, so maybe Jeremy and I will go to Belleville.  Who knows?  Going to send off for four (Harry, Darrin, Jeremy and me) Space Shuttle coins manana.  Got order form today in mail.  Might have a computer-date dance.  Senior officers went early today.  Gonna meet early manana to discuss senior trip.  Scholar Bowl Thursday!  Bye, y'all.

Rather chilly today.  Mom drove.  Jeremy took me and Joe.  Around 7 hours sleep.  No anthem in home room.  Went over ch 10 in Con Ed.  I was tired.  Mrs Heyl for Mercer.  Took dumb vocab test and did worksheet.  Learned adjectives in Spanish.  Kendra gone.  Did problems, notes in Physics.  Didn't do the new homework.  Steak nuggets for lunch.  They ran out of hashbrowns, got more nuggets.  Ran out of hotdogs, then nuggets.  Harry didn't get to eat.  He was mad!  Aaron, Jeremy, Mike, Joe and I made salted chocolate milk!  Took Physics to study hall, didn't do it.  Darrin and I looked at magazines.  Going to start TAYE's ETSS/1088!  Played soccer in PE.  Coldest yet.  Clan vs them.  Dressed early.  To home room.  Got school report cards.  Signed register for mock election.  Rode home with Darrin.  Barb's hair is curly.  Watched Gumby.  Helped Dad carry upstairs gun case to garage to cut up.  Typed TAYE thing on word processor, cool!  Dad got six $10 arrows custom for his bow.  Watched TV.  Mom home late.  Ate stuff.  Peggy came over.  Darrin came over.  Put roster on disk (TAYE).  He cleaned his car and left around 9:10pm.  Tired.  Going to study Con Ed.  Have heater on!  Oh, got "Addicted to Love" (our version) from Harry.  Played for Jill.  Planning on building a vehicle to be horizontally launched that'll go to the OMNI (once built).  Might build more rockets.  TAYE's at a stand still. 

The OMNI was a pretend space station we designed.

Woke up around noon.  Got showered.  Ate dinner (pork steaks).  Pieced together Jill's 5-page note I found ripped up.  Cool!  Borrowed Tim's typewriter.  Took it back.  Tired w/headache.  Watched TV.  Grandma and Grandpa came over.  Darrin came over.  Watched "Incredible Sunday" and MTV.  He came back around 7:15pm.  Went to Coleman's.  He got Nintendo.  Hooked it up.  Played Ice Hockey.  He brought me home around 8:10pm.  Spookhouse still at Old Town Hall.  Bum day. 

Saturday, October 22, 1988

Harry called around 10am.  Asked me to go to Six Flags.  Said maybe.  Played K Rogers on keyboard.  Showered.  Ate.  Mom at work all day.  Lots of calls in the morning.  Barb went to student council hayride.  Darrin was working.  Dad and I went to Sparta in truck, got car, left truck.  Dad filled it up for me.  Tom threatened to kill some school kids, school locked kids in school, Tom is in Alton's nut house!  Grandma and Grandpa came over around 1:30pm.  Sat outside.  Jill baby sat Linda's baby with Amy.  Anyway, I picked up Joe (at Barb's), Jeremy, then Harry and DeAnn around 2:30pm.  Left.  Stopped by Coleman's.  Jeremy took his journal.  Listened to Guns-n-Roses and Def Leppard.  Long line to Six Flags.  We went anyway.  Paid $3 parking.  Got tickets.  We five went to boats (Joe drove one).  Rode Highland Fling (not DeAnn).  Stood in LONG line for Time Tunnel haunted house.  Jeremy met a girl for a second.  Sang "Addicted to Love."  Waited an hour for Screamin' Eagle and then it lightninged and thundered and rained.  Hysteria.  Everyone screamed and ran.  DeAnn and Harry got mad.  DeAnn hurt her ankle.  Went to shops.  Got in car around 11:30pm.  Listened to our tape.  Sat in lot a while.  Then left, no problems.  Rained some.  Got out.  Listened to Black Sabbath and us.  Stopped by Columbia's Hardees.  Ate.  Came home.  Talked about stuff.  Stopped at Freeburg, DeAnn called her mom.  Dropped DeAnn off, Joe, Jeremy, then Harry.  Came in.  Mom still up.  Home around 2:15am.  Fell asleep around 2:30am.

Gosh!  Didn't seem like a school day.  Rode to school with Jeremy.  Mom won another $100 at work.  She still can't talk.  Mom drove.  Had class meeting in Vollert's.  Got senior junk packet.  Went to Con Ed.  Enlow again.  Supposed to test but didn't.  Study hall.  Did Physics with Tim, Lisa and Barb.  Had Jeremy's paper, too!  Reading hour in English.  Talked with Mike and Aaron.  Harry, Jeremy and Brad went to newspaper.  Read 4th dimension book.  Had 50-word vocab Spanish test.  Talked rest of the hour.  He was a comedian!  ASVAB went on till noon.  Lunch tables were screwed up.  Did problems in Physics.  Ate Johnny Marzetti.  Sat by Barb at girls' table.  Got hand tattoos (left hand):

In study hall, Darrin and I talked about 4th dimension sphere and seeing yourself, etc.  In PE, played own-rule volleyball till around 2pm.  Dressed.  Went to home rooms.  Got asbestos paper.  Bell rang.  Went to Scholar Bowl meeting.  Stayed after.  Brad gone.  Jeremy talked to Mr Salanik.  Jeremy finally took me home around 3:10pm.  Finished hypercube.  Oh, supposed to talk to Prigge about colleges in study hall, didn't!  Watched TV.  Jill to Lisa's.  Mom got home around 5:45pm.  Grandma and Grandpa came over.  Left.  Mom and Dad went to White Lantern to eat (their anniversary).  I ate pizza.  Talked to Joe a while.  Darrin called.  He came by around 6:50pm.  Went to Joe's.  Got him.  Talked about the 4th dimension.  Darrin drove, me in front.  Went to Sears.  He took Lisa's stereo out of lay-a-way.  Going to get something else.  Then to Radio Shack.  Nothing.  To Tinder Box, Kay-Bee and B Dalton.  I went back to Star Books.  Left Mall at 9:30pm (closed).  Got Rally's food.  Ate by In-Put.  Drove by dumb station wagon.  Saw haunted house.  Drove.  Kind of lost.  Ended up by Belleville West High School.  Traffic!  Football game just let out.  Went by haunted house again.  Went by Nicole O's house.  She was at football game.  Her brother thought we were dopers after them from a dance.  Drove through Fairview and Belleville on way home.  Dropped Jeremy off, then came home.  Doolittles going to Six Flags tomorrow.

Up around 11am.  School institute, no school.  Mom stayed home with laryngitis.  Rained hald the day, cooler.  Worked on college applications.  Ate.  Finished story.  Dad fixed printer interface.  Hooked up printer.  Played computer.  Watched TV.  Mom went to doctor.  School newspaper made today.  Ate supper (hamburger, screw fries).  Darrin came over around 7pm.  Juanita and Jimmy over.  Signed Priscilla's card.  Darrin and I rode around.  Came home around 8:40pm, sang.  He got M&M's and root beer.  Thinking about building a scale house.  And a hypercube.  Cleaned room up a little.

Drove Jill to school.  Harry and I talked in parking lot.  Went in.  Mombrum gone, Enlow there.  Did nothing.  Drew planes picture.  She said, "Damn."  Got soda break in English.  Graded stuff.  Talked in Spanish.  Got yearbook supplement.  Did problems all hour in Physics.  2 hotdogs, 2 chicken noodle soups, 2 milks, fruit cup, brownie and bread for lunch.  I was stuffed!  Had to get books and clean up locker areas in study hall.  Jeremy dumped rotten milk out (stank).  Elected pumpkin carvers in PE.  Played soccer.  Jeremy hurt Tim.  Tim gave Shelly M his ring.  I drove Scott home.  Worked on story.  Amy and Lisa over.  Jeremy came by around 4:30pm.  Got Harry and DeAnn, went to library.  To the Mall.  Jeremy almost got a Bible.  Went by Rally's.  Went to BAC Quad.  Saw "Alien Nation."  Loved it!  Went to Granny's.  No one home.  Soon Granny, DeAnn's mom, Jayme, Jimmy and Mike came in.  They went for soda.  Came back.  Jimmy's ankles sore.  DeAnn's wrist is sprained.  It rained a little.  We left around 11pm.  Drove around looking for dumb station wagon.  One last try... found it!  Stared at it.  Walked around it!  Jeremy drove home, talked about ghosts, etc.  Got home.  Gonna eat frosted mini-wheats now, so bye!

Drove.  Took Jill and Lisa.  Did ch 10 in Con Ed.  Wrote Darrin "check" (paid him earlier) in home room.  Had Enlow for English.  We did "worksheets" (goofed off).  Everyone has a Spanish book now.  Learned stuff.  Did problems in Physics.  Hamburger for lunch.  Copied Darrin's English in study hall.  Did Con Ed.  Made "Swine" lyrics.  Didn't dress in PE.  Had Pep assembly (volleyball) 2-2:22pm.  Drove Scott home.  Harry and Jeremy came by.  Rode in Jeremy's truck to Harry's. Re-re-recorded "Hog."  Recorded "Swine" (eh!).  Came home around 5:30pm.  Ate.  Darrin came over.  Launched Gladiator.  No orbit!  Made a smoke ring though.  Darrin went to volleyball game.  I almost did!  Tired!  Jill, Mom and Dad (un poco) sick.  Might get CD (bank).  Family, Juanita and Jimmy watched "Who's the Boss?"  They left (walk).  Watched TV.  They came home.  Started my story around 8pm.  Gonna write some more.

Nissa's birthday.  KMOX thing for Mr Slagley's birthday.  Jeremy drove me.  Sheriff talked to Government 1st hour, Tim went in there.  We talked about ch 10 in Con Ed.  Did worksheet in class in English.  Did worksheet in Spanish.  Talked.  Aaron came in from home (sick?).  Did problems (vectors) and notes in Physics.  Hotdog and mac and cheese for lunch.  Jeremy left around 12pm to Air Force and test (physical) at Scott AFB.  Darrin with Mombrum (accounting homework) all study hall.  I did English.  Gave Mombrum Con Ed extra credit.  Almost slept 15 minutes.  Soccer in PE (by boys' locker room).  Clan vs Darrin.  Sad game.  Slick.  Misty.  My hair was curly after that.  Harry took Joe, Scott and me home.  Almost played at Harry's (will do Wednesday).  Watched TV.  Launched Maelstrom.  Extremely pleased!  Jill sick.  Slept.  Reading about dimensions in D&D.  Violent weather up north.  Mom came home (drove).  She and Dad went to Leemons' for supper.  Juanita and Jimmy came over.  Brought Jill medicine and my birthday pictures.  Darrin came over.  Watched ALF.  Went to high school hill to watch lightning.  Then to Criminal Road.  Came home around 8:30pm.  The windiest I've ever seen.  Gonna eat Red Baron pizza now and read D&D.

Up around 10am.  Showered.  Jill sick, stayed home.  Dad sick.  Mom and I went to Granite around 11am.  She drove.  I read "Tilt Planet."  Got gas at Clark.  Mom and Grandma went to eat and K-Mart.  I did Con Ed extra credit.  Did sleeping chart.  Built Gladiator.  They came back around 2pm.  Ate fish, fries, etc.  They left around 2:30pm to funeral home, Wilma's dad.  I did TAYE stuff.  Then watched TV.  Read book outside.  They came home.  Mom drove home.  I read.  Stopped by Sears.  Closed at 5:30pm.  Went to drive-thru at White Castle.  Got o-rings.  Got home aruond 6pm.  Called Darrin.  He came over.  Jeremy and Harry on hayride with FCA.  We rode around singing to KJOY, oldies, etc.  Went to McDonald's.  Came home.  Went to Joe's.  Played his guitar.  Got string.  Came home.  Ate birthday cake (Dad's birthday, he's 44).  Ate White Castles.  Darrin left.  Fixed guitar.  Kay and Tim were over earlier.  Gonna do TAYE and finish Gladiator now.

Up around 11am.  Barb came over.  Came over for the $20.  Mom worked till 1:30-2pm.  Dad at Dennis'.  Broke 3rd string on guitar.  Watched football.  Rode Jill's scooter.  Rained a little.  Made Maelstrom.  Darrin called.  Stargazer landed.  He was with Lisa tonight.  Jeremy and I (drove) to Belleville.  Went to the Mall.  Dan, Wade and Fred M came in to B Dalton.  Mall closed at 9:30pm, saw Indian (India) family.  Went to Rally's.  Went back for Jeremy's change.  Parked at Cine 10.  Ate.  Listened to Guns-n-Roses.  Wreck.  On way home, turned at Jay's.  Oh, saw dumb station wagon thing.  Ended up by Our Lady of the Snows Shrine.  Came home.  Tired.  Got RCA taken care of.  Gonna fill out Washington U application.  Tired!

Drove.  Checked oil.  Jill went with Lisa.  Got to school.  Reading hour 1st hour.  Mr. Smith made announcements.  We went to typing room.  Read.  Halfway through, we went to Career Day #2.  Talked to state cop lady, ITT, Ag, etc.  Got pencils, ruler, folder, etc.  Saw map of Marissa.  Cool!  Stayed there till 3rd hour.  Took test.  Almost everyone went to Career Day #2 then.  So the rest of us talked and told jokes.  Physics test.  Easy.  Harry and DeAnn got mad though.  Jeremy and I could've cut with Nissa into a la carte line, but didn't.  Ate APP and chicken noodle soup!  Helped Darrin with ACT in study hall.  Soccer in PE.  I lost 2 points goaling.  Got mad.  Played bad.  Stayed after school.  Jeremy pulled Mercer's fan string off.  Worked with spook house.  Got headache.  Took Scott home around 4pm.  Played with Matt's RC car.  Cool!  Watched TV.  Mom had office party (got home around 12:30am).  Watched UFO ch 30 thing.  Barb called.  Went to spook house around 7:30pm.  Sat on top of lockers watching in band room with DeAnn and Barb.  Darrin - Freddie K.  Harry = black cloak (was knocked out).  Jeremy = rags.  Joe = graveyard (my job).  He and Charity fought a lot.  Fun.  Helped clean afterwards.  Norman yelled at Fat Guy about fire exit.  I took Barb by her house, then by mine, to Jeremy's.  Got Jeremy and Joe.  Went to Pizza Hut.  Nissa worked.  All together:  me, Barb, Jeremy, Joe, Brad P, Bert (Shawn McC), Bart, Brent, John W, Dan D and Josh S.  Rowdy!  Owe Fat Guy $1.  Saw Reanne!  Had fun.  Almost kicked out!  Aaron came by.  Left.  Dropped Joe off at Barb's (to see Shae).  Drove around.  Took Barb home (still owe her $20).  Went to Jeremy's.  Talked.  Joe came up.  Talked.  Went in.  Aaron came by.  Talked.  Took Joe home around 12:20am.  Came home.  Mom came in then.  Tired!  Jeremy and I might go to the Mall and a movie tomorrow.

Drove Jill.  Listened to Pheonix.  Got to school.  Slow home room.  Didn't take books to Con Ed.  Went over tests.  Halfway through, went to Career Day #1.  Talked to Navy.  Woo-woo!  Halfway in English, went back to class.  Did paragraphs.  Frehsman gone to Career Day #1 in Spanish.  9 of us reviewed.  Did problems in Physics, reviewed.  Grilled cheese for lunch.  Physics in study hall.  Goofed.  Soccer in PE.  Okay.  Pictures came in.  Got birthday card from Barb.  Took Scott, Harry and DeAnn home.  Read more of "Tilt Planet."  Played guitar.  Army guy came over 4:20-5:05pm.  Okay!  Mom, Dad and Jill got home around 6:10pm with two Pizza Hut pizzas.  Called Harry.  Ate.  Grandma and Grandpa came and left.  Did some vocab.  Read more.  Played guitar!  Guess I'll read some more.

Tired!  Not much sleep  last night either.  Mom drove.  Dad took me and Jill to school.  Jeremy had NHS breakfast.  He brushed teeth at locker.  Studied ch 9 Con Ed in home room.  Government test.  Laurie gave Darrin and me answers to Con Ed test.  Got checkbooks, etc.  Talked in English.  Reviewed/made up sentences in Spanish.  Oh, new girl with no arms at school.  Did problems in Physics.  Got Kleenexes to blow my nose.  Pizza for lunch.  Sr picture orders 12-10:30pm.  Mom came in.  TAYE in study hall.  Harry's driving to school now.  Volleyball in PE.  1/2 Clan vs 1/2 Clan (6-6).  Fun!  Rode home with Aaron and Scott.  Aaron came over.  Watched Gumby and Smurfs.  Launched Viceroy.  Got mad.  Stepped on it.  Jeremy, Joe and Harry came over.  Watched MTV.  Harry to Def Leppard concert.  Mom and Dad shopping.  Gonna sleep early.  Hold on...  Juanita and Jimmy just came in.  Jimmy's staying.  I guess I'll go.

Didn't sleep well last night.  Wore new Pony's.  Love 'em.  Drove Jill.  Bug collections due today.  Cut by left eye.  Finished ch 9 in Con Ed.  Reviewed tests in English.  Goofed off!  Took semi-test in Spanish.  Reviewed stuff.  Did problems in Physics.  Spaghetti for lunch.  TAYE study hall.  Volleyball (goof-style) in PE.  Drove Scott home.  Came home.  Aaron came over.  Watched Gumby.  Got August "Countdown."  Aaron played Pool of Radiance.  I did TAYE.  Jeremy came by.  They left.  Picked up Darrin around 6:15pm.  Had pancakes for supper.  Went to Jeremy's.  Had Harry's launch, Darrin's launch (Harry left then), my launch, then Jeremy's launch.  No success.  Mad!  Dropped Darrin by home.  Got home around 9:15pm.  Got paperwork to do.

Columbus Day, no school!  9:00pm now, watched making of Family Ties (ch 9).  Up around 11am.  Showered.  Ate.  Big John looked at our front porch.  Dad made a cart for Jimmy's bike.  I made Silverspot engines.  Jeremy got home.  Darrin spent the night at Billy's.  Worked.  Jill refilled Dad's prescription.  Picked Joe up.  Went to Jeremy's.  Darrin came over.  Goofed around.  Glenda said 2 jobs at Kroger.  Darrin and me?  Came home around 8pm.  Jeremy fell off Darrin' trunk in new boots.  Figured out senior pictures.  Harry called.  Jill started reading this.  I got mad.  Guess I'll do Physics now.

Up around 10:30am.  Showered.   Ate bowl of mini-wheats.  Built launch pad.  Watched TAYE tape.  Ate hamburger and fries.  Everyone came over around 1pm.  DeAnn, Harry and I watched VCR tape.  Ate cake around 1:30pm.  Opened present, etc.  Got Pony high-tops, Soeul t-shirt, $47 (plus $5 from Darrin later).  Mom and Dad took Grandma home.  Dad mowed Grandma's grass.  Jill went to Lisa's.  Watched "Splash."  Darrin and Aaron came over.  Ate.  Prank phone called.  Harry and DeAnn to Crestwood.  Darrin left around 7pm.  Mom and Dad to Brenda's for a weenie roast.  Aaron played Pool of Radiance.  I rearranged room.  Took pennies from shoes.  Now 17.  Forever older!  Mom and Dad just came in.  Have headache.  Goodnight.

Woke up around noon.  Mom and Dad to Granite to get Grandma.  I played guitar, watched TV, finished Viceroy, and designed a space station.  Phone rang from someone calling inside the house.  Mysterious.  Took Jill to Lisa's in Grandpa's truck.  Jill and Lisa sold Tom-Wat.  Joe called.  "This Old House" on from 4:30-7pm.  Harry got back from Belleville last night.  Jeremy still in Silver Dollar City.  Aaron came by.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Darrin came by.  They both left to go to Laurie C's hayride.  Took Jill and Lisa to Austins and Roots.  Came home.  Got first birthday card (from Tadlocks).  Watched "Freddy's Nightmare" (Dale and Cheryl over) and "Friday the 13th" series.  Bum day!  Guess I'll go for now.

Might be long.  Drove.  Saw Jeremy as I parked at school.  Jeremy, Brad P, etc sold newspaper #3.  Started ch 9 in Con Ed.  Had vocab test and ch test in English.  Circus!  Had Spanish test.  He was a comedian today!  Did problems in Physics.  Need haircut.  Hamburger and fries for lunch.  All in goofy mood.  Threw raisins.  Study hall, got NASA book.  Got Plastics book for reading hour 6th hour.  We "read" in commons.  Darrin and I made fun of Plastics book while Glenn tried to connect 16-dot things with 6 lines.  Tim heard me and Darrin talking about seeing "Alien Nation" and invitied himself.  I took DeAnn home, then Harry.  I watched Gumby.  Aaron gave AD&D back (he borrowed Tim's computer).  Jeremy came to Harry's.  Harry getting ready to spend the night at DeAnn's grandma's in Belleville.  We threw football.  Jeremy took Harry to school to get clothes.  I came home.  Mom here.  Chilly out now, around 50 degrees.  Wrote U of I.  Finished Silverspot.  Tore Viceroy to pieces.  Made module drawing.  Jill rode home with Dad for Tom-Wat.  Jill and Lisa sold all evening.  Darrin called.  Tried to call Tim but no one answered.  Darrin drove us to Fairview.  Went to the Mall.  We went to Cine 10.  "Alien Nation" not on.  Amost saw "Imagine."  Decided not to go to a movie.  Ate at Long John Silvers.  Made dumb voices on the way up there.  Went to the Mall.  Saw Nissa and Kerri at Sbarros.  Darrin put $279 (on sale $169) stereo ($45 down) for Lisa.  Guy offered us 14k gold necklace.  Nope.  Went to Nicole O's.  She was babysitting.  Her mom was watching "Satisfaction."  Left.  Went to Target.  Went to McDonald's by Fairview.  She didn't give me $.57 change, I got it.  We sat in the back.

Drove Jill to school.  Heard "Dariy Queen."  Got yelled at for test in Con Ed and no one read the chapter (9).  We had to read it and outline in class (while Mombrum cleaned her desk).  Got ch 9 done.  Had spelling test in English.  Went over vocab words.  Reviewed in Spanish.  Back of his collar stuck up.  He tried to be a comedian all hour.  It was fun.  Finished chapter in Physics.  Rather easy.  Got worksheet and new assignment.  Harry had nose bleed.  Steak nuggets for lunch.  Borrowed $.05 from Tim.  Tim in bad mood today.  Girl problem?  Did TAYE all study hall.  Volleyball in PE.  Clan, Shawn McS, Jody C vs them.  Not too fun!  Cheryl (Grasshopper) on our team.  Harry and DeAnn stayed to print paper.  Jeremy went home.  I drove Jill home.  Up to 50 degrees today.  Watched Gumby in my room.  Mom home.  Ate supper around 3:15pm.  Started Silverspot.  Mom and Dad to Sparta.  Got me gummy worms and new smelly duck for the car.  I started my senior drawer.  Did some Physics.  Watched thing (48 Hours) about test tube babies, etc.  Mom just came in from Janet G's.  They may be on strike.  Who knows?  Have half hour free.  Woooooooooo!  Guess I'll find something dumb to do.

Cold out.  54 degrees high.  Mom drove me, Jill, Todd and Scott.  Jeremy's birthday.  He's 17.  Mike and I are still 16.  He read birthday card in home room.  Took Con Ed test (ch 5-8).  Worked on TAYE.  Goofed around in English.  Talked in Spanish.  Gonna have "Talent Day" in December.  Reviewed/questions over homework.  I was bored all hour.  Fish for lunch.  Did English in study hall, worked on TAYE.  Talked to Rachel C about good books.  Volleyball in PE.  Clan vs them.  We lost, then tied 10-10.  We had end by outside doors today.  Coach got mad at Chris B.  Rode home with Darrin, Scott, Harry and DeAnn.  Dropped off Scott, DeAnn, me, then Harry.  Showed Harry Viceroy.  Gave him toothpicks.  Watched Gumby.  Aaron at Tim's.  Came over.  Borrowed AD&D.  Left to work.  Worked on TAYE roster.  Lisa over.  Watched TV.  Mom to Monk's Mound with Brenda.  Darrin came by around 5:30pm.  Dad drove to Chicago with Dennis.  Ate hamburger and crackers, went to Darrin's.  Jeremy came over.  Had launches 5-7.  No successes.  Jeremy brought me home around 9pm.  Gonna do a little TAYE then sleep.

High of 56 degrees.  Not too cool, yet.  Mom went with Brenda somewhere.  I drove Jill, Joe and Scott (?).  Listened to 5 Circles.  Tired!  Ch 8 quiz in Con Ed.  I got 14 out of 20.  She yelled.  Talked in English.  Talked in Spanish (he had silly collar).  Took notes in Physics.  Got most of my work done in class.  Toasted ravioli for lunch (I got two orders, BBQ chips, milk, and cheese things for Shelly M).  Did vocab (Aaron) in study hall, then rested (headache).  Volleyball in PE (Clan vs them).  Fun, fun!  I spiked, etc.  Drove Jill, Scott and Jeremy home.  Watched Gumby.  Went to Jeremy's.  Came home.  He launched Hermes 8 times, 7 with Peters.  Went to Jeremy's.  Sat around.  Harry made a rocket.  I came home.  Ate.  Darrin came by.  We built.  He was working on 2 more rockets, I finished Viceroy.  Jeremy making new design also.  Mine glides super!  Jeremy brought me home around 8pm.  Doing this.  Gonna study for Con Ed test.  Mom and Dad in Freeburg.  Fred's gonna watch our launches tomorrow.  Nervous.  Annual stuff, didn't go.  Viceroy ready to go.  I'm super-excited.

Monday, October 3, 1988

Tired.  Programmed VCR for 11:32am-12:32pm, Discovery landing.  Mom went to Granite to see Carol (gave her Randy's disks, etc).  Mom's on vacation this week.  Nice, cool day.  Jeremy drove me in truck.  Jeremy got haircut yesterday and clothes he wore today: new button shirt and baggy, yellow-ish stone-washed jeans.  Did English in home room.  People turned in collages in Con Ed (extra credit).  We went over them.  She graded notebooks.  Wasted all hour.  Postponed quiz till tomorrow.  Exchanged papers in English.  Goofed off.  Learned new verbs and high numbers in Spanish.  He was funny.  Got tests back in Physics and went to Chemistry room to watch Discovery land.  It was a surprise.  It was great to see it land!  The room was packed, I was front row.  After lunch bell rang, Jeremy, Aaron, Barb F and I stayed after, then to lunch.  Ate spaghetti.  Did English in study hall.  Rested (looked at Olympics Sports Illustrated).  Played volleyball in PE with scoreboard (clan vs everyone).  First game we lost, 2nd game won.  It was fun!  Darrin took me home.  Aaron came by.  Watched VCR tapes.  Ate cake.  Harry called around 3:10pm.  Harry came down in Grandpa's truck.  Jumped Aaron's car.  Aaron took me to Harry's.  We watched Discovery land.  Jimmy had piano lessons.  Jeremy and Joe came over.  Played "Tim" kind of.  Harry jammed out on guitars with me for a long time in strobe.  He broke my pink pick.  Jeremy brought me home.  Jeremy and Joe came in.  Loaned Jeremy TAYE cassette and Space Shuttle manual.  He worked on new designs tonight.  Ate mac and cheese and fish sticks.  Darrin came by around 6:15pm.  Went to Freeburg shoe store.  Got $38 Pony high-tops for birthday.  Wore cowboy boots.  Went to the Mall.  He looked for stereos for Lisa.  Went to Venture.  Then to Rally's.  Darrin got a couple burgers, fries (spicey), and a large Coke.  Went to Hardees.  He ate.  Then he bought me a cone.  Came home.  Getting senior pictures straightened out.

Up at 11:20am.  No one went to church or Sunday school.  Dad grilled meat.  I went to Grandma and Grandpa's for food to bring home.  We ate.  Darrin came over.  We rode around, bored.  Borrowed the camera.  Taped Stargazer talk, UFO, Chevy Show, etc.  Darrin left around 8:30pm.  Mom and Dad at Brenda's watching a movie.

Rained most of the day.  Up at 8am.  Grandma Hancock and Virgy came over around 9:45am (supposed to be 9am).  I drove us five to Murphysboro to see Mac and Gloria.  Had good dinner.  Went to Edna's.  Went back.  Came home.  Virgy and Grandma went home.  Darrin came by.  Went by Jeremy's.  Came home.  Had 1st TAYE Officers Meeting.  Went good till Aaron showed up.  Tim came over.  Taped TV-3, Stargazer and Initial launches.  Stargazer only successful one (in orbit).  Came in.  Watched them (Harry came over for a while) till 1am.  Got to bed late.
