Jeremy drove.  Finished ch 8 in Con Ed.  Oh, had class meeting.  Tim broke cologne bottle by lockers (on my shoe).  It still smells.  Had spelling test in English and got sodas.  Spanish test.  He was in a good mood.  Physics test.  LONG, 7 pages or so.  Aaron done first.  All but Aaron and Jeremy worked into lunch.  Tim didn't even get done.  Harry and DeAnn were mad.  Had burrito (or taco salad).  Study hall was reading hour.  Read Space Shuttle manual.  Had disaster drill against library wall.  Football in PE.  Clan vs me.  Rode home with Darrin.  Got home.  Made launch pad (launch delayed because of rain).  Harry, DeAnn, Jeremy, Nicole M and Joe Todd went to Nightmare on 1st Street.  Tim came over with a VCR camera.  Taped until 12am.  Up till 1am.  Almost went with Barb to Nightmare on 1st Street but didn't.  Had headache.  Darrin with Lisa.

STS-26

Woke up at 6:30am.  Washed hair downstairs.  Finished by 7am.  Mom and Dad went to McDonald's to eat.  I taped 7-8am.  Programmed CNN for 9am-3pm.  Darrin taped Ch 4 8:30am-2:30pm for me.  I was excited.  Gloomy, dark, cool day.  Drove Jill and Jeremy to school.  Talked in home room.  Con Ed was in typing room because everyone was cold.  Launch supposed to be at 8:59am, but changed to 9:59am.  After Con Ed, Darrin and I got a pass from Fred to come to his room at 9:50am to watch.  Then Harry came by.  Went to lockers.  Harry and I to the office.  Got permission to drive Harry home "to put medicine on poision ivy (right leg)" so he could tape Ch 4.  Gone 9:25-9:40am.  Got back, our class in library watching.  Then launch postponed.  We got permission from Mr Salanik to watch it 3rd hour.  3rd hour came.  Front row, left to right, Aaron, Darrin, Me, Jeremy with Harry behind/between me and Jeremy.  It (library) was CROWDED.  Misty P, Rachel C and Jenny P were there.  Anyway, launch at 10:37am.  We were so excited and tense.  I laughed at Jeremy curled up in the chair at my right to hide the tear of joy.  Then "throttle up"... it was quiet... We then saw a little flame.  It was "No, not again."  But it was nothing.  It made it.  Just as it made SRB sep, Salanik said, "Get to class."  We were mad.  But so relieved and relaxed.  Got to Spanish.  Reviewed.  Physics, we did problems (some at board).  Hotdogs, mac and cheese for lunch.  Did Con Ed in study hall.  Jay Sinn is in it now.  Then redesigned TV-3 to make the Imperial Shuttle.  Made week schedule.  Played football in PE.  Clan (but Darrin) vs them.  Warm.  Drove Tim home (gave him Con Ed folder).  Stopped by home with Harry.  Called school about sr pictures order.  Went to Harry's.  There till around 5:30pm.  Jeremy came over in their fixed car.  I got Joe.  We made "Tim" but didn't record it.  Harry and DeAnn are banned again.  Came home.  Ate, helped carry in groceries.  Darrin came over.  Went to his house.  Watched Ch 4 launch/Olympics while I started Viceroy, he started OMPAR 1088/1.  Came home around 9pm.  Gonna sleep now.  I am so happy we are in space... safely.  Oh, around 5:30pm I took Joe to David A's.  Joe borrowed David's guitar and my pick (pink) and my blue cord.  Talked to Janet F.  Dropped Joe off.  Then came home.  Ate, etc.  Less than 21.5 hours from now and TV-3 will be launched.  Oh, Darrin got caught spitting over lockers at kids by Coach in PE.  Aaron and I did it too, but not caught.  Saw Soviet shuttle today.  Doolittles thinking about buying a car like Jeremy's (Lancer). 

Viceroy was the name of my new homemade shuttle.  OMPAR 1088/1 was the name of Darrin's homemade rocket.

Ate 2 Pop-Tarts.  Drove Jeremy to school.  Heard "It's So Easy."  Had Scholar Bowl meeting (signed up).  Paid for sweathshirt in home room.  Studied Con Ed.  Had Con Ed quiz.  Started ch 8.  Talked in English.  Dumb.  Talked in Spanish.  Fun.  Did problems in Physics.  DeAnn mad at Harry.  Pizza for lunch (on a la carte).  DeAnn happy again.  Did Con Ed and English in study hall.  Then TAYE stuff (launch schedule (T-?), etc).  Football in PE.  Clan split.  Kinda silly today.  Clan (Harry, Jeremy and me) got cool guy bands (arm).  Newspaper meeting after school.  I asked Fred about what channel to tape tomorrow.  CNN.  Got Joe.  Listened to new Bon Jovi (New Jersey).  Harry, Jeremy and DeAnn came out.  Took DeAnn, Harry, then Todd home.  Then to Riess.  Got $8 (Jeremy $9).  Saw Tom's truck.  Tom in jail (?).  Took Jeremy home.  Came home.  Aaron here.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Found Graveyard and other blox.  I put engines on my TV-3.  Jimmy was over.  Tim broke his basket.  Aaron left.  Lisa over.  I watched news and taped about Shuttle.  Ate.  Mom late.  Darrin came by around 6pm.  Went to Rock Pile launch site.  Launched his OMPAR.  It didn't lift.  Ate by mosquitoes.  Came home.  My shuttle weighs around .99 oz.  Went to Darrin's.  Typed launch report.  Cupcake came over.  Watched Shuttle thing.  Darrin brought me home.  Juanita here.  Talking about senior pictures.  Paid Harry $10 (Darrin owes him $2).  I'm debt free.  Dad showed Jimmy how to pitch.  I'm gonna get up around 6:30am tomorrow.  Didn't do Physics.  Thinking about Florida trip (en enero).

Dad took me to school.  I cut wings out of TV-3 before school.  Jeremy had NHS meeting.  Almost padi for senior shirt in home room, but didn't.  Did worksheet in Con Ed.  Got grades.  I've B+.  Practied spelling test in English.  Darrin, Jeremy and I discussed TAYE.  Talked in Spanish.  Brad P had "kick me" sign.  Mr Salanik has two synthesizers.  He's cool!  Did problems in Physics.  Johnny Marz for lunch.  Circused!  Did English in study hall, then made TAYE roster.  Football in PE.  Clan vs Jocks.  Jeremy late, so he was on jocks.  Tie game.  I liked it!  Aaron took DeAnn home, Harry, me, then Jeremy.  Grandma got Jill.  Aaron played Pool of Radiance 3-6pm (after watching "Gumby").  I finished TV-3.  It glided 15 ft.  We ate little pizza.  I had hamburger and fries.  Aaron explored everywhere.  We're up to the Gate in Pool of Radiance.  Mom worked till 6-6:30pm.  Jimmy came over.  Mom brought 'Nam home.  I did Physics.  Drove to Darrin's.  He finished Accounting.  He typed up rosters.  He made nose cone.  We weighed them.  Jeremy, Bert (Shawn McC), Brad P and Kent  came by.  They like TAYE.  I drove Jeremy, Brad drove Bert and Kent to Sr Citizens lot.  Did Ouija 8:55-9:15pm.  Those three went on.  I took Jeremy home.  Called, said I'd be home around 9:30pm.  Barb was there.  Saw Jeremy's shuttle.  Cool.  Talked about shuttles, then Dairy Queen.  Got out to my car around 10pm, still talking about DQ.  Came home.  Everyone upstairs.  Mom walked with Brenda earlier.  Mom asked me about Tune-Up tape (Brenda).  Tom's in jail.  Broke Physics book cover. 

TAYE was a rocket club we created in high school.

Monday, September 26, 1988

Drove Jeremy and Jill.  Listened to "Sweet Child o' Mine."  Talked in home room.  Mombrum sick.  She went home 2nd hour.  Finished ch 7 in Con Ed.  Finished test in English.  Goofed off.  Harry was mad at Jeremy (Jeremy got him mad yesterday).  Aaron has haircut (short, kind of), his 1st day at Kroger yesterday.  Next Thursday (Shuttle!)  YAY!  Learned verbs in Spanish.  Talked.  Got sr pictures on stage.  Late for Physics.  Did problems.  APP for lunch.  Good!  Did Con Ed in study hall, then designed TAYE's new vehicle.  Mrs Heil sub for Dodson.  Football in PE.  I was captain.  We won (Clan, but Aaron).  Fell on Jeremy's foot.  Aaron hurt his wrist when he knocked Jeremy down.  I tied yellow thing on arm from Harry's flag around 2pm.  Showered.  They stayed for newspaper staff.  I drove Jill home.  Almost DeAnn.  Watched Gumby.  Aaron came over.  It was hot!  Aaron played Pool of Radiance, I designed TV-3.  Jeremy and Brad B came over.  They left.  Grandma and Grandpa came over.  I took Jill to Amy's.  Aaron left.  Ate pancakes.  Got Jill.  Watched TV.  Harry borrowed Trig notebook.  Darrin called.  Went to his house 7:30-9pm.  Watched Olympics at kitchen table while I made TV-3's frame and his rocket.  Came home.  Doing this now.  Been trying to record at Harry's.  Jeremy likes Nicole M now.  Had window open earlier.  I'll make TAYE file now.  Didn't do Physics.

Up at 9am.  Ready by 10am.  Darrin came by around 10:30am.  Saw Cards vs Mets (last game here of the season).  Mets won.  I starved.  Went to McDonald's in Belleville.  Then to Schnucks.  Got matches for TV-3.  Came home.  Tired.

TV-3 was an experimental home-made shuttle I made to launch with bottle rockets (stood for TAYE Vehicle #3).

Played guitar.  Window open.  Rained a little.  Jeremy came over.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Went to Jeremy's.  Watched TV with Darrin, Aaron and Jeremy.  DeAnn threw up.  Harry taped G-n-R for me.  Came home around 10:30pm.  Had bad headache.

Friday, September 23, 1988

Dad took Jill and Lisa to school.  Then me.  Cindy with Jeremy a lot.  Jeremy and Melinda broke up!  Darrin and I in home room.  Jeremy selling papers.  Signed up for sweatshirt, but no money.  Started ch 7 in Con Ed.  Took spelling test in English.  Then book test.  No one finished so we'll finish them Monday.  Dumb!  Had Spanish test.  Then went over temperature.  Talked.  He made us laugh today with "Boom, boom, boom" base, etc.  Reading hour 4th hour.  I started reading Pool of Radiance rules, then read STS-26 Countdown.  Harry read "Eye of Dragon."  Chicken noodle casserole for lunch.

In study hall, Darrin and I did Con Ed ch 7, then looked at Countdown, Pool of Radiance. Rachel C came by.  In PE, we got new teams.  Clan vs the others.  We won.  Coach whistle-happy!  Rode home with Aaron.  Raining after school.  Darrin brought Jill and Lisa home.  Watched "Gumby."  Aaron to Sparta.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Darrin called.  Rode in Tempo to get van from Image.  He drove the van home.  We got cones.  He brought me home.  Aaron came over.  Played Pool of Radiance from 6:30-9:30pm.  Aaron left.  While he was here, I ate pizza, looked in time box, just checked out all old stuff.  Burned incense.  Jimmy came down.  Harry and DeAnn to movie I think.  Jimmy pestering everyone.  They're watching TV now.  I saw Carol on TV just now.  Aaron got characters up 2000 XP, me too.  Gonna go to bed early to get up early to play Project: Space Station.  Mom went with Brenda to Belleville.  Brought comics.  Mom got us Rascals candy.  Straightened room up.  Might go to Florida in January for $300 with Fred, etc.  Guess I'll go.

Drove Jill to school.  Took guitar.  Got to school.  Melinda by Jeremy.  Talked in home room.  Took ch 6 test in Con Ed.  Everyone did bad.  I marked an extra one wrong on Mike B's paper.  Started reading ch 7.  Got handouts.  Went over stuff in English.  She gave us around twenty minutes to do work.  Mike, Brad P, Jeremy, Aaron, Darrin, Harry and I were on one side of the room.  Dan, Mark, Glenn, Brad H, Andy, Tim S, Brad C on the other side.  We threw spit-wads.  My last one rolled across Mercer's foot.  We cleaned the room up.  Took Physics books to Spanish.  We reviewed for tomorrow.  Did work in Physics.  Pizza for lunch.  Wrote English sentences in study hall.  Mark found disco books and we looked at a "Saturday Night Fever" book.  PE, we played football.  Jeremy and I on the other team.  Lazy day.  Hot!  In the 90's!  Drove Jill home.  After school, Physics class went to Berny's room to watch fall equinox egg balance.  I didn't go!  Mom got me STS-26 VCR tape.  Supposed to play at Harry's but didn't.  Aaron came over.  Watched Gumby.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Harry came for US History test for DeAnn.  I couldn't find it.  Dad went to pick Mom up around 4:15pm.  I took Harry to DeAnn's, to high school, then home.  Got Jill.  Aaron left.  Drove to Pizza Hut, we ate.  Mom and Jill went shopping in T-bird.  Dad and I went by Dairy Queen (sad) and came home.  I played Pool of Radiance.  Characters ready to go to 2nd level.  Darrin came over with George.  Car troubles.  We went to Walmart.  Saw Chad G.  Got air filter.  Went to McDonald's.  Saw Tracy W.  Darrin ate.  Came home.  Darrin put Heet in tank.  Drove around.  Came home around 8:45pm.  Juanita and Jimmy here.  Jimmy got Darrin's sax.  Harry at volleyball game.  I'm gonna advance my characters now in Pool of Radiance.  Read journal till 10pm last night.

I drove Jeremy.  Wrote "Stadium."  Jeremy crammed for government test in home room.  Darrin read "Stadium."  Finished chapter 6 in Con Ed.  Tim and I switched seats.  Goofed around in English.  Talked in Spanish.  Had fire drill.  Mr Salanik's collars stuck out!  Funny.  He could fly!  Notes in Physics.  Foot long hotdog for lunch.  Lunch line (a la carte) was:  Lisa C, Darrin, Brenda (Circus), Circus II, Me and Jeremy.  Brenda kept talking to Jeremy, thinks he likes her.  Ate.  Sat by Dodson in study hall (at couple of tables).  Mercer's class came in.  I did Engligh and Physics.  Wrote "White Pepper."  Mrs. Asherman asked Jeremy and me to watch Brenda during 6th hour this week do physical therapy.  We agreed.  6th hour, got Shawn L to do it.  We played football.  Rough.  Aaron = maybe broken ring finger right hand, Harry = sore all over, Darrin = pulled something in left leg by groin, Jeremy = ?, me = ?, Tim = something in stomach.  We won today, I hiked.  Jeremy, Harry and DeAnn stayed for newspaper.  I drove home alone.  Watched Gumby.  Played Pool of Radiance (mapping the Slums).  Someone has around 876 XP!  Darrin called.  I drove white Escort behind him in gray Chevy minivan to Image, Belleville.  Couldn't find it.  But did.  I drove us home in Escort.  Stopped by Hardees.  Got cones, water.  Saw Dawn and other Buss.  Riess thinkgs Darrin broke in!  (lie detector test tomorrow)  But I have journal-proof he was with my Sunday!  Jeff doesn't like me because Grandpa is suing or something (?)  Got home at 6:30pm.  Jill, Lisa and Amy walking.  I ate turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans (garden), roll.  We played Project: Space Station till 8:30pm.  Grandma and Grandpa over.  They left.  I cut Dairy Queen story out of newspaper.  Read songs to Jill.  Tired!  Gonna record tomorrow!

Rode to school with Dad and Jill.  Cindy talked to Jeremy and me before school.  Talked in home room.  Jeremy didn't "make fun of anyone" today.  Did ch 6 in Con Ed, just talked.  Talked in English.  Passed rumor around "Brad P sells Tupperware."  Funny.  Spanish, learned weather.  Talked.  Physics, took notes, did work.  Danfor yelled at Derwort's kids for being noisy.  Chicken nuggets for lunch.  Sicked Brenda on Jeremy in bathroom.  Funny!  Did English, Con Ed (ch6), Physics and Spanish in study hall.  Goofed off then.  Flag football in PE.  "Clan" vs everyone else.  We lost.  Dumb!  Darrin took Lisa home and came back for me, Jeremy, Harry and DeAnn.  Took DeAnn home, then me.  Aaron was by, but left.  Came in, watched "Gumby."  Cool!  Worked with college stuff.  Started U of I application.  Riess Ford was broken in to over the weekend.  Ripped Darrin's check in half.  Watched TV.  Called Jeremy.  He walked over.  We made his three characters with Pool of Radiance.  Harry came up.  Made two characters.  Mom came home.  Mom and Jill went to Doolittles' for pork chop supper.  Dad and Jimmy fishing.  Harry took me to his house, Jeremy home, got DeAnn.  We two ate, sang.  Played frisbee in house, etc.  He and DeAnn took me home around 6:30pm.  Jeremy's line busy.  Watched TV till 7:30pm.  Played Pool of Radiance till 9:30pm.  Mom and Brenda in Belleville.  Jill at Juanita's, I think.  Jimmy brought fish books for Dad.  Darrin called.  Gonna go to ball game Sunday with him.  Tired, so I'll go now.

Drove Jill to school (to Sweet Child O' Mine).  Wore Def Leppard shirt.  Rained this morning.  Talked in home room.  Tried to get Physics, but didn't.  Con Ed test, but didn't take it.  Talked about extra credit and ch 6 in Con Ed with Mrs. Enlow (botulism).  Circuis in English.  Aaron and poster problems.  Learned calendar stuff in Spanish.  Didn't talk today.  Got half period (last) in Physics to work.  Learned a little.  Did all homework.  Fish for lunch.  Melinda at school.  In study hall, we got disco skating book (Darrin, Jeremy and I).  I got U of I application.  In PE, volleyball, but Darrin and I talked to Mr. Prigge about colleges.  Took Harry home, then Jill and Lisa here.  Cashed check, put $100 "in".  Went by Jeremy's.  Came home.  Went to Harry's.  Might tape a song tomorrow.  Went to Jeremy's.  Heard "Champion."  Jeremy on a religious kick.  I'm on a college kick.  I drove us to the show.  Went through rain in Freeburg.  Heard G-n-R, DQ (etc), Def Leppard.  Got tickets (Harry and Jeremy free (newspaper), me $1.90 rush hour) for 5:15pm "Moon Over Parador."  Went to Heritage Arms.  Then Burger King drive-thru.  Wore dumb hats.  Went to the show.  Saw Carol and Marshal.  Watched movie.  Pretty dumb  It was ok.  Got headache from starving!  Took Harry home.  Went to Jeremy's.  Talked in car about religion/college till 8pm.  Drove by Harry's.  Mom, Dad and Juanita walked to Gas-n-Grab.  Came home.  Ate lasagna Hamburger Helper while watching "Thriller."  Also watched a restore show on Ch 13 (9).  Jill played Spy Hunter.  Darrin called.  Now I'll read college stuff and go to bed.  I'm tired!  Oh, Dairy Queen burned around midnight last night.  It's gone, 4-EVER.  Tom's life a mess.  Guess I'll go now.

Up at 10am.  Mom, Jill and I went to church.  It rained 12-4pm.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Darrin came over.  Dad grilled burgers and hotdogs.  Darrin drove me to downed wire at Schrader's Junk (fire).  It poured.  Cool.  Came home.  Ate (Darrin too).  Darrin drove to Sparta.  Visited Billi (his sister-in-law).  Went to Dairy Queen.  Got large cone.  New kid workin'.  Saw Tom.  Came home.  Taped.  Darrin went home.  Doolittles, DeAnn, Grandma and Grandpa came over with ice cream cake.  Ate, watched TV.  Jeremy and Mark to Youth Camp.  Darrin came back.  Doolittles and DeAnn left.  Darrin and I watched TV, played Project: Space Station.  Ate at 8:05pm.  Went riding with Darrin till 9pm.  Now taping Shuttle thing while Jill and I watch Richard Kline Time.  Dennis and Brenda over.  I'm in the living room.  Oh, didn't do Physics.

Up around 10:30am.  Jimmy called twice.  Mom worked till 2pm.  Harry and DeAnn went somewhere.  Jeremy at camp with Mark.  Darrin at Six Flags.  I played Pool of Radiance, watched TV, etc.  Dad, Mom and Jill went to Granite around 2:30-8:30pm.  Dad taped Jackie Gleason.  Think I'll live in California.  Wrote colleges.  Played piano.  Got bored.  Hot!  Tired.  Guess that's all.

Harry went early.  Jeremy took me in truck.  Played Pool of Radiance this morning.  Got my party ready.  Finished ch 5 in Con Ed.  Took spelling test and chapter test in English.  Then read Olympics thing aloud.  Had Spanish test and reading hour 3rd hour.  I read 4th dimension book.  Had Physics.  Re-test, read 4D book, did little homework.  Hamburger, tater tots on class A for lunch.  Darrin quizzed me in study hall.  Softball, same teams.  Jeremy tutored 6th hour.  Aaron brought me home.  We played Pool of Radiance (ate cupcake batter, Jill made cupcakes with Lisa).  Darrin came over around 3:30pm.  Aaron left.  Darrin and I went to Nashville to get his senior pictures.  Then to Fairview Heights to the Mall.  Think we saw Gilbert (hurricane).  I guess it hit.  Ate at Rax.  Played FBI.  I took toy gun (Darrin found and gave me).  Oh, Aaron Slaughter was beat up, 16 to 1, so Tom and Rita had ball bat and bowling ball and beat up two kids.  What I heard.  Anyway, then to Schnuck's.  Did Con Ed extra credit (comparative buying (25 items)).  Got ice creams at Hardees, Darrin treated.  Came home.  Played Pool of Radiance from 8pm-1am.  Darrin's parents not home yet.  Mom, Dad and Jill went to Handee mart to get Lisa when I got home.  Darrin showed Mom his senior pictures.  Didn't give guitar back.  Think Mark and Jeremy went to church camp tonight.

Had frosted wheats for breakfast.  Jeremy drove, Harry went early.  Drove Jill and Lisa.  Oh, played Pool of Radiance before school.  Got to school.  Jeremy and Darrin gone with newspaper in home room.  Sprayed for bugs (everywhere).  Started ch 5 in Con Ed.  Talked in English.  Wrote paragraphs.  Reviewed in Spanish.  Reviewed test in Physics.  Began ch 3.  Steak nuggets for lunch (and burritos).  We watched Brenda, laughed.  Did Con Ed in study hall and had calculator wars.  Played softball, same teams, Jeremy played on other team.  Saw and spoke to Cindy a few times today.  Saw her with Kenny D.  Told Mark I'd give him his guitar back (sniff!).  Drove Jill and Lisa home (listened to new "DQ" and "Tres Gringos").  Played Pool of Radiance.  Aaron came over.  Jill and Lisa made a pizza.  Ate it.  Aaron left around 5pm.  Barb called.  Reann called about football game tomorrow night.  Mom got home.  Cooked eggs, bacon, toast, ham, hashbrowns.  Watched TV.  Darrin called.  I listened to "DQ".  Watched TV.  Mom and Dad went to Juanita's.  I saw out back, heard "DQ."  Mom with Brenda somewhere.  I'm hot.  Road was rocked.  Hurricane Gilbert supposed to hit tomorrow.  Have to study Spanish and Physics now (2 English tests tomorrow).  Then I'll play Pool of Radiance!

Mom and Dad to breakfast.  Mom drove.  Dad took Jill and Lisa to school.  Jeremy didn't pick me up (his keys are in the T-bird).  Grandma took him, Dad took me.  Both late for home room.  Had Con Ed test.  Pretty easy.  Read Pool of Radiance rules.  Tried to break code in English.  We just talked in English.  Spanish, talked.  Physics, took test.  Heard we're going to retake it.  Aaron and I watched 8th graders come into Derwort's room (saw Cindy).  Read Pool of Radiance.  Pizza for lunch (oh, pancakes for breakfast).  Harry and DeAnn hitting each other (for play).  Study hall, did English homework.  Talked about Pool of Radiance.  PE, played softball, same teams as yesterday.  Hot!  Tired.  After school, newspaper meeting.  Darrin and I went for a second, then left.  He brought me home.  Grandma and Grandpa here.  Jimmy painted his bike silver yesterday and today.  I took his silver grapes.  Played Pool of Radiance.  Aaron came by.  Harry called around 3:30pm.  Aaron took me with guitar and amp to Harry's and left.  We re-recorded "DQ", made "Disco Primavera" and "Tres Gringos."  Darrin listened while we taped the latter.  Harry took me and Jeremy to my house around 6:30pm.  Jeremy got his keys, I took him home.  Harry got DeAnn.  I came home.  Darrin came over.  We played Pool of Radiance from 7-9:30pm.  Harry, DeAnn and Jeremy went to a meeting (FCA?).  Mom went shopping.  Grandma and Grandpa came over, left.  I made pizza.  Darrin ate.  I also ate bologna sandwich and fries.  Harry supposed to drop tape off but didn't.   Oh, Darrin took Jeremy to Kim's from 7-7:15pm.  I think Mark wants his guitar back.  Barb called wanting to know about Six Flags Saturday, I said I'd tell her tomorrow.

I drove Jill and Lisa to school.  Harry went early.  Jeremy was gone till mid-4th hour to St. Louis (Wash U).  Finished ch 4 in Con Ed.  Reviewed for test.  Homework in English.  Learned time in Spanish.  Reviewed for test in Physics.  Jeremy came in.  Chicken patty and chicken noodle soup for lunch.  Melinda not at school again.  Did English in study hall.  Did games with Darrin.  Jeremy came over and read DeAnn's letter to us.  I really feel bad.  I'll talk to her!  Softball in PE.  All on same team.  Jeremy worked out.  Hot.  Tired.  Got done.  Harry busy, Aaron had tests to study for, Darrin was at work.  Went home alone.  Borrowed $25 from Darrin.  Went to Kim's.  Jeremy there.  Melinda went (ran away) to Missouri.  She'll be back Sunday.  Terri's been bugging Jeremy.  We went to Belleville.  I drove.  Got Pool of Radiance.  He ate Sbarro's pizza.  Came home.  Went to Kim's.  There till 6pm.  Came home.  Ate pancakes.  Did homework.  Darrin came over.  We played Pool of Radiance.  It is cool!!!  He left around 8:30pm.  Now I have to study for Con Ed and Physics tests.  I talked to Kari after school.  Jasmine was there too.  I think Mark wants his guitar back.  He says the world is gonna end this week (?).  Listened to Jeremy's journal on the way to Belleville.  Dad had boat motor apart.  Mom's with Brenda somewhere.  Lisa's over, I think.

New goal: keep this journal through the school year.  Rained this morning.  Hot in afternoon.  Harry went early.  Have new system.  Jeremy late.  Dad took me in truck with boat, Jeremy behind us.  Darrin was sick.  Came to school at end of lunch.  Mom drove.  Jody gone, Shelly P said National Anthem.  Talked about ch 4 in Con Ed.  I copied Brad P's English because Darrin had mine.  Mercer's room bigger (wall moved).  Aaron, Harry, Jeremy and I sat in rear-left corner of room.  Talked all hour.  Did homework.  Spanish in McGuire's old room.  Got 100% on test.  Talked.  Learned numbers 20+.  Took notes in Physics.  Mostaccoli for lunch.  Tim talked to Kari on stage.  Had homework in study hall, but did games with Darrin and Jeremy (a little).  Softball in PE.  Jeremy and Tim on other team.  Got good hit!  Hot, tired.  Showered.  Darrin hit me in jaw (accident), I almost hit Jeremy.  Aaron took me and Wade home.  Hair's getting long!  Rode around.  Saw Melinda, took her to high school (she skipped school today).  Came home.  Watched TV, taped.  Lisa and Jill doing homework.  Melinda came over around 3:45-4:30pm.  Mom got home.  Jeremy, Melinda and Kim came by around 6:30pm.  Talked to them.  Melinda and Kim to Creemee.  Darrin came over.  We 5 talked till around 7:10pm.  They left.  I got homework.  Darrin and I went to Darrin's.  Did Spanish, not Physics.  Darrin did Spanish and called Mombrum for Accounting.  Watched The Cavanaughs and Kate & Allie.  Came home.  Grandma and Grandpa here (even now).  Got tape recorder.  Looked for cop.  Interviewed Mr. Slagley.  Came home at 9pm.  Talked to Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa for a while.  Got Countdown #2.  Hagler's went bankrupt.

Woke up around 11:15am.  Jimmy and Dad went fishing.  Juanita over.  Worked on D&D.  Darrin and I supposed to go sell magazines, but went to Belleville.  Took tape recorder.  Taped all day.  Went to Police Dept to interview guys, no one wanted to.  Went to Darrin's mom in Fairview.  She was ceramicing in a basement.  Got White Castles.  Ate in parking lot.  Went to the Mall.  Parked around back.  Darrin sick all day (stomach).  Went to Circus World, Kay-Bee, Walden, Sears, Alladin's Castle and Babbages (saw a D&D game there ($30), might get).  Got outside.  Raining!  Went by Hardees.  No ice cream.  Stoped by Dawn B.  Hardees, got cones.  Came home.  Went by Harry's.  Got microphone (he at DeAnn's).  Came home.  Taped stuff.  Mom and Dad walking.  Darrin left around 9pm.  Jeremy and Melinda over, in garage.  Mom walking with Brenda.  Dad cleaned fish.  Darrin left.  Harry and DeAnn drove up.  We all talked.  Jeremy and Melinda wanted to do Ouija.  They left.  I came in.  Ready to sleep.  Oh, Jill wore my Def Leppard shirt today skating.

Woke up around 10am.  Mom to Granite.  Showered, ate.  Worked on D&D.  Played guitar.  Darrin at work.  Harry in St. Louis getting Def Leppard tickets.  Jeremy called.  Wanted me to go out with him, Melinda and Kim.  We went to Darrin's.  Aaron there.  Aaron left.  We 5 dropped Kim off.  Went to Darrin's.  Darrin and I got in his car.  Went by Kim's (not home).  Went in.  Darrin went home.  I rode with Aaron.  Jeremy drove Melinda, Aaron, me and other guy to Haulage Road.  Guy stayed, we 4 came back to town.  Went by home.  Drove around.  Saw Barb and Michelle.  I got in their car for a while.  They had stolen Lori's Garfield.  Went by Lori's.  They dropped me off at Kim's.  We 3 sat around watching TV.  Jeremy took me home around 11:45pm.  Watched TV.  Lisa spent the night.

Jeremy picked me up in truck (wore Huey shirt).  Sold newspapers in home room.  Had magazine sale assembly 2/3 of 1st hour, sat and talked 1/3.  Went to English.  Orange soundboard fell on me.  Made orange stain on shirt.  Told Opal.  Reading hour, studied Spanish.  Spanish, had test, talked, he sang "La Bamba."  Good, real good, but silly!  Physics took notes.  Talked about Spanish at lunch.  I got a headache.  In study hall, Darrin and I helped Norman and Coach with a ladder and the basketball hoop/backboard.  Played softball in PE.  We were all worn out.  Harry on other team.  Slankford got hit real hard in right shoulder by Tim.  Aaron and I drove around.  Darrin went to work.  Jeremy drove around.  Aaron and I went to Jeremy's.  Watched soap operas and People's Court (had rude guy and cowboy).  Joe Todd came over.  Mike came over around 5pm.  Joe rode his bike home.  Aaron took me home.  I ate.  Fell asleep.  Darrin came by around 7:15pm.  I told him to go to dance without me.  Aaron went on hayride.  Harry and DeAnn did a newspaper article.  Jeremy left 5 minutes after he got there with Melinda G (not a wise choice of a woman!)  Darrin went.  He came by around 10:40pm.  We rode around.  He brought me home.

Harry went to school early.  Jeremy drove us (almost late).  Jeremy and Darrin in trouble in home room.  Went over worksheet in Con Ed.  She read us a story in English, we read Sniglets, etc.  Unsed Spanish names in Spanish.  Read aloud.  Got 100% on Physics test.  Went over sections (took notes).  Had chicken nuggets for lunch.  Looked for library books in study hall.  Checked out Math Games.  Played softball in PE.  "Clan" on a team.  I hit Mr. Coleman's shoulder.  Aaron brought me home.  Grandpa over.  Jeremy took Harry and DeAnn home.  Jeremy went back to put newspaper together.  Darrin went to work.  Huey concert tonight, that's why I'm writing early.  Adios for now, amigo.

Darrin came by around 5:15pm.  Went to Harry's.  DeAnn tired, sick.  Supposed to leave at 5:30pm, but not until 6:05pm.  DeAnn and Harry got in an argument.  Darrin read Archies.  Jimmy a brat.  Dad and Grandpa went to the River.  By the time we got to St. Louis, everyone was happy.  Found parking spot.  Went in.  Juanita, Jimmy, DeAnn and I sat on the right side.  Harry, Harry and Darrin up in the middle.  It was cool.  Got $18 shirt.  During intermission, we went to bathroom.  Harry and I switched places.  After the concert, Harry, Darrin, DeAnn and I came home in the Mercury.  Went to Hardees.  To bathroom.  Took food to go.  Got home around 1am.  I loved it.  Well, guess that's all.

This was obviously about a Huey Lewis and the News concert we attended.

Everyone's going Ouija now.  Joe got scared, quit for good.  Harry got bloody nose from being hit last night.  I'm still a little sick, tired, tongue sore.   Drove.  Mom left around 7am.  Dad didn't work.  Listened to "Paradise City" going to school.  Took Harry and Jeremy.  Jill and Lisa went with Dad.  Got to school.  Had class meetings to elect officers till 8:30am.  President-Kendra, vice-pres-Darrin, secretary-Kelly, treasurer-Harry.  Talked about senior trip, etc.  In Con Ed, talked/finished ch 3.  English, handed in homework, reviewed plurals (yawn!).  Brad and I played dots (he won).  Spanish, got worksheet #3, talked.  Physics, took test (super-simple), goofed off afterwards.  Johnny M for lunch.  Dad Spanish, English and Con Ed ch 4 in study hall.  Played softball like yesterday in PE.  The "Clan" on a team (by cheating).  We made up Spanish names for everyone and are talking Spanish:

Supposed to have paper out Friday, Brad P typed up story after school (we (DeAnn, Harry, Jeremy, me, Darrin) bugged him).  I took DeAnn and Harry home around 3pm.  Darrin went to work.  Lisa and Jill did homework at home.  I watched TV, fell asleep.  Jimmy came down.  Ate supper (bacon on toast).  Worked on D&D.  Darrin came over at 8pm.  Rode around looking for cop with tape recorder till 9pm.  Went to Handee Mart, Hagler's, school.  Were gonna interview him for the paper, didn't find him.  Mom came home from shopping around 9:05pm.  Put car up.  Gonna listen to Guns-n-Roses while sleeping again when Darrin lets me go.  Adios.

Cold out.  Around 60 degrees.  Wore green jacket.  Drove Jill and Harry.  Went by Jeremy's (not ready).  Heard Guns-n-Roses going to school. Harry had a stopped-up nose all day.  Quiet home room.  Talked to Mike M a lot today.  Had Con Ed test today.  I "A"ced it.  Turned in English.  Went to locker for Lit books, had fire drill.  Turned books (Lit) in.  Finished capitalizing chapter.  Had homework.  Got "A" on Spanish test.  Did worksheets.  Talked.  Did worksheets in Physics.  Test tomorrow.  Harry wore new jean jacket.  Cheeseburger for lunch.  Did Con Ed (ch 3), English and Spanish (ws #2) in study hall.  Everyone dressed in PE.  Had 3 softball games.  Jr boys in regular field, Jr girls in other field, Sr high class in track.  Unfair teams.  The "Clan" vs. everyone.  Dressed.  Paid book fees, etc.  Everyone stayed for newspaper meeting.  I drove Jill and Lisa home.  Got last $54 Dairy Queen check.  Cashed it.  Saw Aaron, asked him to go to BAC with me, he had homework.  Drove to BAC to Guns-n-Roses.  Dropped Judo.  Got home.  Played a little D&D.  Watched TV.  Lisa over.  Dad worked today.  Got home around 4:15pm.  Ruth sent Dad a coal train and Jimmy a reel.  Dad gave Jimmy a bow.  Juanita came over.  We had combo pizza for supper.  Jill and Lisa walked.  Mom and Dad walked.  Grandma and Grandpa came and left.  Everyone came home.  My nose is dyin'.  Darrin came by around 8:45pm.  Paid him $15.  Talked outside.  He left.  Brenda and Mom went somewhere.  Jill and Lisa "studying" in living room (on phone).  Might look at Physics, don't know.

No school, Labor Day.  Darrin called around 8:45am.  I slept more.  I woke up around 10am with Darrin in my room.  We goofed around till 10:30am.  I took shower, ate, etc.  Grandma, Grandpa and Jimmy were all here.  He wanted me to go to DuQuoin State Fair.  We waxed T-bird.  Took guitar to Harry's.  Recorded "Slow Song."  Came home around 1pm.  Ate grilled feast.  Taped a little.  Left for DuQuoin around 2pm.  Got there.  Kinda boring.  A hick Six Flags.  Saw Mark, David and Jeff.  Darrin talked to a state cop for a while.  Left.  Went to McDonald's.  Darrin paid for everything today.  I'll repay him.  Went to Wal-Mart.  Saw Suzy R.  Got car models to launch.  Came home.  Built cars.  Went to Darrin's.  Rachel C called.  Wanted us to ouija.  Said, "Not tonight."  We picked Rachel and Jason S up.  Went to high school.  Launched Darrin's car.  It flipped a lot!  Dropped Rachel and Jay off.  Came home.  Inspected his car.  He left.  I went to Tim's.  Helped him with homework.  Came home around 9:30pm.  Gonna study Con Ed now.

Up around 10:30am.  Mom and Dad went to Dennis and Brenda's driving around Southern IL.  Got ready.  Played guitar.  Supposed to go to Alton and spend night.  Didn't.  Harry and Jeremy picked me up in gray Mercury.  Got Darrin.  Went to the "Pit."  Sat, talked.  Had swords (and bows) in car.  Got back to car.  Drove.  Went to old cemetery by Leemons'.  Went to Aaron's.  Got ouija board.  Went back to cemetery.  "Met" Kay (Tom) Cathcart and others.  Dropped Jeremy off.  Harry dropped Darrin and me off at Darrin's.  Played with car in living room.  Serina and Jim C came by.  We ate stew while watching TV downstairs and Darrin's.  Saw "Funhouse."  Picked Joe Todd up.  Went to Jeremy's.  Darrin went home to see Lisa (watched movies).  Harry, Jeremy, Joe and I talked in Jeremy's room.  Harry burned carpet.  Aaron came over.  We "smoked" incense.  Went to Gas-n-Grab.  Chipped in gas money for Crown Vic.  Went to Criminal Road.  Aaron and I did ouija.  Went out by Suzanne's but on trailer court road to Marissa out in a field.  We talked from 10-11pm.  Went to Jeremy's.  Aaron took Joe and Jeremy to Tanya M's for party.  Harry took me home.  I came in, saw Jill.  Wrote a song.  Listened to Beatles.  Slept.

Up at 8:30am.  Watched TV.  Played guitar.  Got shower, ate.  Did homework.  Played guitar most of day.  Made up new song.  Mom cleaned.  Ate dinner with Mom and Jill.  Watched TV.  Harry in St Louis (Shaw's Gardens).  Lisa came over, made characters.  Sarah A and Lisa came over.  Darrin came by.  Went to Darrin's.  Cleaned his car.  Went to laundry mat.  Aaron came by.  Went to my house.  Darrin had water in engine.  Dried off.  I showered.  Went to Darrin's.  Wore Def Leppard shirt.  While he showered, I ate.  Joe Todd in Peoria.  Aaron came by Darrin's.  Lisa came by, left.  George and Gwen in DuQuoin.  Picked Jeremy up.  Went to Handee Mart.  Went to St Louis.  St Louis Centre closed.  Went to Union Station.  Lotta people.  Went to Riverfront.  Everything closed.  Stopped by Burger King in Belleville.  Supposed to be home at 12am, got home around 12:35am.  Might go to Alton tomorrow.  Guess I'll play guitar and sleep.

Jeremy drove me in truck.  Harry went earlier.  Talked to Joe by Harry and DeAnn on stage.  Joe had ouija board.  Home room regular.  Copied English in home room.  Reading hour 1st hour.  Didn't have our Con Ed quiz.  Took tests & teasers.  Had pictures taken today.  Pretty goofy in English.  I was quiet, tired (10 hours last night).  Got English homework.  Took quiz in Spanish.  Learned stuff.  Physics, ended chapter 1.  Hotdogs for lunch.  Joe ate with us.  Helped Dodson with her books (armloads).  Darrin and I quit at 1pm.  Darrin did accounting, I did some English.  Kendy and Mark left for BAC around 1:10pm.  Dodson gave us $.50 each for sodas.  Didn't dress in PE.  Jr high on one bleachers, Sr on another.  Aaron, Darrin and I (Darrin doing English) watched Harry, Jeremy, etc. play volleyball.  Finally, Aaron and I went to weight room to goof around.  Cindy came in with friends.  Bell rang.  We left.  It rained most of the day.  Darrin took me home.  He went to work.  Jeremy took Harry and DeAnn home, went back to school to work on newspaper article.  I ate, watched TV.  Played guitar.  Aaron came over.  I taped Guns-n-Roses.  Aaron and I took Joe to Village Gold.  Joe went to Jeremy's.  Jeremy and Joe came over here (Aaron in dumb brown corduroys, etc).  They played in my room.  Mom came home, we went to Jeremy's (took ouija board).  Played frisbee.  Shawn (DQ) came over.  He quit.  JoAnn might quit.  Rob quit.  Now it's Tom, Rita, Tony Y and Rachel.  Darrin came over.  Harry and DeAnn came over.  Darrin, Shawn and I came by my house to get tape.  Got back to Jeremy's, Jay Sinn there throwing football.  Harry and DeAnn left.  Jay left.  Harry and DeAnn back.  Darrin, Joe and I went to Joe's.  Joe changed clothes, went to Jeremy's.  Started raining.  Shawn left.  We played Spit War.  Afterwards, put old rags over our heads.  Darrin dropped Joe off, came to my house.  I changed.  Ate.  Mom and Dad at Brenda's.  Went by Joe's.  Helped him load tractor on truck.  Went to Jeremy's.  Talked.  Followed cop, lost him.  Went to Jeremy's.  Harry and DeAnn left.  We 5 went riding 9-11pm in Darrin's car.  Saw wreck by coal pile by Dennis and Brenda's.  Truck (3 Spartan girls) hit pole.  Went to old church.  Burned down.  Ouijaed there.  Left.  Ouijaed at intersection, left, ouijaed at 3-way by church.  Left.  Ouijaed through Marissa.  I got tired.  Dropped Joe off.  Went by Jeremy's.  Aaron took board.  Darrin dropped me off.  Gonna sleep.  Gonna listen to "Sweet Child O' Mine" and sleep.

Drove.  Took Jeremy and Jill (Sgt Peppers).  Homeroom nothing.  Con Ed, went over chapter 2.  In English, got dictionaries.  Aaron and I looked up words all hour.  Spanish, learned more.  Physics, learned laws of sin and cos.  Hamburger and fries for lunch.  In study hall, Mark, Darrin, Jeremy and I (and 2 more) helped Mrs. Dodson move to Hollander's old room.  Saw pictures of city in library.  Did physics and Spanish.  Played softball in PE.  Jeremy interviewed Prigge for newspaper after school.  Dropped off DeAnn and Jill.  Harry, Jeremy and I went to Jeremy's.  Ate.  I was tired!  We drooled off porch with water.  Then made games where we spit on each other blind-folded.  Took Harry home around 5pm.  Came home.  Watched TV.  Dad picked Mom up, went shopping.  New truck case for bed.  Lisa missed yesterday and today.  Darrin needed driver for ?, Jeremy went to Judo, I didn't.  Went to Darrin's around 6:30pm.  We ate school pizza.  Did half of our English, gave up.  Came home.  Mom and Dad walking to Juanita's, Gas-n-Grab, etc.  I drove by Cindy's and Nissa's.
