My Senior Year Is Over

And that was my senior year in high school.  I included some of the summer before the school year because there were some momentous events there too.  I kept this particular hand-written journal until May 24, 1990, at which point I decided to take a break.  I resumed the journal on April 11, 1993, using a Brother word processor.  I kept that journal until December 31, 1999.  And on January 1, 2000, I switched over to a PC where I still keep the journal to this day…

Saturday, May 27, 1989

Dad called around 11:45am.  In SC, to Pennsylvania.  Mom took Grandma H home.  Darrin to Sparta.  Nissa called.  Showered.  Wore Deengelbury jersey.  Darrin over.  Got Nissa around 2pm.  To Sparta.  Got $50 from Nissa (borrowed).  Got VCR.  Saw Tom and Rita’s Lamborghini.  To McDonald’s.  Got home.  Nissa home.  Darrin over.  Set up VCR.  Joe, Nissa over.  Joe to work.   Nissa to get ready for Jeremy (sick).  I had sniffles/runny nose.  Mom home.  Darrin left.  Ate.  Watched TV.  Slept.  To Darrin’s around 7:20pm.  Aaron there.  Darrin, I to Belleville.  Got Harry 80mph, talked to in Lenzburg.  He to Columbia to play.  Saw Jeremy, Nissa by Grandpa Pigeons.  To Best.  Then Best Buy about RC for TV.  Put $10 down.  Saw Jeremy, Nissa.  Talked to them in lot.  They on date.  To White Castle.  Got food.  Ate in the Mall lot.  To Musicland.  Re-ordered St Elmo’s.  To movies around 9:55pm for 10pm show of “Major League.”  Line too long!  Got out.  Drove around Shiloh subdivision.  Asked girl hot to get to park/party.  Got there.  Beer drinkers, Harley riders, etc.  Left.  Drove around Belleville.  Got $7 gas.  Came home.  Took Darrin home.   Jill at drive-thru still.  Got home around 12am.  I like my VCR.

Friday, May 26, 1989

Up around 10:30am.  Showered.  Wilburn, Wilma dropped Grandma H off.  Juanita over.  Worked in garage.  Nissa asked me to watch “Coming to America” but didn’t have time.  HOT!!!  Ate.  Cleaned room.  BBQ at 3pm, 5 people showed (not me).  Cloudy, cleared.  Nissa, Jeremy over.  To Tim’s.  Mr Salanik there.  Ate.  Came home.  Took Nissa home.  Showered.  Wore nice clothes.  Ate.  Darrin got me around 6:50pm.  To his house.  Mike put tie on  me.  To school.  In Drivers Ed room.  Got marbles.  Out to graduate.  Great!  Fun!  Liked it.  Hugged everyone in commons after.  Rode home with Tim.  Everyone here.  Harry showed.  We ate.  Nissa came by.  Mr S too.  Met Tony O.  Opened gifts.  Got $275 total, and a VCR.  Yeah!  Then to Jeremy’s.  Got pen, ate, etc.  Nissa took me home around 12:30am.  Tim got me.  Garage already cleaned up.  To Nissa’s.  Got in van with Jeremy, Harry, Joe.  To Township building (Jody C).  Cleaning up.  To Barb F’s.  Tim too.  Talked to her dad about model planes.  Cool.  Joe tired!  Left around 2:10am.  Took me home.  Tired!  Talked to Mom. 

Thursday, May 25, 1989

Up around 9am.  Joe, Aaron then Harry, Jeremy left, then Darrin earlier!  We 3 shot fireworks, burned till 10:30am.  To Aaron’s.  He brought us home.  HOT!  Rained a little.  Called Nissa.  Darrin got me around 1pm.  To school.  Practiced graduation.  Invited Mr Salanik to ballgame.  Rode home with Nissa.  Saw kittens.  Came home.  Slept.  Harry down.  Started decorating garage.  Mom got home.  Got tables, chairs at church.  Nissa over.  Grandma too.  Brenda, Dennis came in.  Harry left around 6:30pm.  I went to Sparta.  Got a graduation card at Wal-Mart (talked to a guy from Granite).  Got Pizza Hut pizzas.  Got home.  Ate.  Nissa, Darrin over.  Left.  Oh, got $50, $20, $20, $10 hoy.  $10 ayer.  Gonna get ready for bed, sleep. 

Wednesday, May 24, 1989

Up around 10:30am.  Showered.  Wore REM shirt.  Nissa got me.  Took Prob & Stats semester.  Jeremy, Nissa to Belleville.  Harry, Joe, Darrin, Aaron, I made Fireworks War II guns.  They left.  I ate.  Wore senior shirt.  Harry, DeAnn, Joe, I to movies.  Met Jeremy, Nissa.  Saw “Last Crusade” (Indiana Jones).  Great!  Came home.  Got stuff.   To Joe’s.  Ate, etc.  To Jeremy’s.  Harry came over around 11:30pm.  Got to Aaron’s around 12:30am.  Ate.  Had FWII.  Great!  Darrin/I vs Joe/Aaron vs Jeremy/Harry.  J/H in field, scared.  Hot!  To camp.  Fell asleep around 4:30am.

Tuesday, May 23, 1989

Harry’s birthday.  Darrin woke me around 9:30am.  Left at 10:06am to take Spanish semester.  I showered, ate, wore Def Leppard.  Called Nissa.  She got me around 12:30pm.  To school.  Took Prob & Stats semester.  Nissa left.  Cleared out locker.  Jeremy took me home.  Ate.  Harry got me.  Jeremy got us.  To REC Area.  Played 9 holes.  Came home.  Jeremy, I to Pizza Hut.  Tim came over.  To Mr D’s.  Nissa came over late (worked).  To Jeremy’s.  Nissa left.  Harry acme over, talked, goofed.  Harry brought me home around 12:25am.

Monday, May 22, 1989

Rained all day.  Wore Deengelbury shirt.  Got to school late.  In home room around 8:15am.  Got $.50 paper.  To Government.  Took flag test.  To English.  To commons.  Mr Slagley yelled at kids.  To Spanish.  Mr S sang for us.  To Physics.  Reviewed.  Turned in all books hoy.  To lunch.  Ate hotdog.  Prob & Stats reviewed.  6^th hour assembly.  I slept.  Sports, etc.  To band room.  Few showed up.  Borrowed Mr S’s acoustic.  Practiced “Forever Young.”  Then Harry, Jeremy, I alone in the band room.  Had “Death of a Chair”, Indiana Jones, Uncle Heemor, obstacle course, opera, shoe-throwing, etc.  FUN!!!  Home.  Dad talked about trucking.  Called Nissa.  Mom home.  Ate mac, cheese, fish.  Darrin came by.  Rode with him.  Got gas.  Home.  Jeremy, Nissa got me, to Mr Derwort’s around 8pm.  Reviewed.  Left.  In Dave’s car.  To Gas-n-Grab.  To Jeremy’s.  Nissa left.  Joe over.  Goofed.  Joe left.  Harry, Jeremy, I talked.  Harry brought me home around 12am.  Doors locked.  Broke into my window.  Gonna eat and sleep!
